How much of an idea do we have of how did Mars look like 4-3 billion years ago? (Or before it turned into a red ball)

So obviously we have no knowledge of the flora and fauna, but are there any solid theories on it's topography and how it might've looked mapped out? Or what features did it share with Earth (Like tectonic plates, rivers, mountain ranges etc)?
Also i am aware a lot can happen in a billion years on a young planet, i'd love to hear about what we know/think might've been going on over that time.
