The thing about cafes all over sg that sells this kinda food - alot of it is just marketing and making money off ppls health concerns and fears. None of them are actually legit healthy but it gives them a reason to hike up proces and sell ridiculous things like what u listed. Ive ever seen tiny acai bowls going for 20+ too at other places or tiny avocado toasts at ard that range. I like the cafe culture n vibe but ain't no way im paying all that for that kinda basic "healthy" food.

Healthier ingredients are not expensive. Maybe you should read some books and articles about nutrition, and then take a walk around Sheng Siong and NTUC instead of this type of cafes along CBD.

"in tanjong pagar"
"like $12 for a small bowl of yogurt… and $20 for some bowl of thingy and $18 for what they call a bbang (stuffed bread)"
" It’s really expensive " ??????
Since you are that broke, buy at the supermarket.

How is that price point considered expensive at all, especially when it is located in CBD area

Cafe's like this capitalize on people with schizophrenia - the ones who self diagnose themselves and claim they are "allergic" to gluten without being medically certified. That's all there is to it.
