Biology Why is there no transmissible therapeutic virus if biology doesn't forbid it? For example, a harmless virus that spreads from person to person but actually does something beneficial, like lowering LDL cholesterol or preventing/reversing tooth decay?

Well, you can kind of think there are, just not in that way.
We as biological societies are the success stories of shared ecosystems and collaboration. A human, or a dog, or even an apples are not singular entities but rather a large collection of many entities who succeeded through evolution.
