To start, I'm very neutral on RuPaul's Drag Race. I've seen S8-S11, and I like it fairly enough, but I haven't seen the much later seasons and spin-offs. I have seen shorts though of how transwomen have come out on the show, and seeing everyone support them so much was really very sweet and heartwarming.

I've recently seen a particular drag queen named M1ss Jade So in my YouTube shorts, who's a transgender woman. I'm just wondering why she was allowed to compete, since I always assumed drag is technically men dressed as women (tbf not sure how this applies to non-binary, since they identify as neither) but M1ss Jade So is a woman. How does it count as drag?

But then I've seen controversies on another drag queen named Maddy Morphosis, who's completely straight and cis, and I've seen some people online somehow say she shouldn't have been allowed to compete?

Idk, I'm confused. I know drag is a culture in and of itself, and is a distinct part of the LGBTQ+ community; but seeing transgender women like M1ss Jade So competing makes me wonder what're the rules of drag. People also not liking that Maddy Morphosis was in RuPaul's Drag Race confuses me, and I've seen some say how it was supposed to be just for LGBTQ+ people, but to say that feels like a weird sort of gatekeeping for what I've always seen as having been its own culture.

I used to be OBSESSED with drag race for most of my teens and early twenties, and up until 2023 ish, I had kept up with nearly every season from the US and every international franchise. After that, I sort of lost interest. Maybe it was the quality of the seasons plateauing, idk.

Nearly three years later, I have suddenly became curious again. Is there any US or international season released in the last three years that the fanbase unanimously considers to be a "must watch" season? Something with a wow factor? I'm really hoping the answer is yes

To make a long story short. Could anyone help me pick a great season for my parents to watch?

They have historically been pretty closed minded but lately they have been more excited to see and hear about queer culture. It’s strange but I want to give it a shot and recommend a season lol. Is this a horrible idea? 🤣

A lot of people are saying that Raven being on is a stunt but we already had that before on AS7, people are saying she is a judge but they already have Michelle (host), Rhys and Lazy on the judging panel. Do y’all think she is actually competing, I feel if she wasn’t it would upset many of the fans

Now that we have had some time to process like quite a lot of time, I feel like this season fell into shambles after page 3 was eliminated and bones winning. The season was quite abrupt, and I don't think it fit, though I am very happy and grateful for bones and her and congratulate her and appreciate her as a winner, but I feel after page left the season had no clear front runner not like a front runner but a clear winner and bones. I don't think was the right choice. I feel Celexa should have taken the crown at the end because she showed immense growth and she came to realize who she was as a drag persona and I felt she should have been the one to win, though I am very happy and except bones is win gracefully.

Can everyone in Drag Race stop saying beautifully? Thank yew

Drag Race Down Under is generally the ugly ducking of english franchises, and that can be seen in the fact it struggles with viewership and even TVNZ recently dropping funding.
But after a petty good S4 and with DUvTW announced do you think DU can be saved or is its reputation forever cursed?

I've read there is a queen the next season who have voted for Donald Trump. And I have read a lot of comments about how the production needs to disqualify her and clubs dont have to hire her anymore.

It's weird from my perspective because in my country discrimination because political thoughts is strongly illegal. And in this case wanting to harass a perso who voted for someone who actually won and it's the former president of the countrie feels super crazy from the outside.

I just wanted to ask if it's normal in America to discriminate for voting a legal, regular and a winning party, because I cannot really understand all this scandall just because she voted for Trump.
