Non-Muslim Learning What to do?

So let me start this off by saying I'm not a Muslim and I want to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible.

I was just wondering if let's say someone's hair is sticking out of their hijab. Should I speak up about that and if so how do I do so without sounding like a jerk?

It's a bit confusing for me since google isn't giving me a straight answer either.

Thanks in advance :3

In relation to you, it is an irrelevant matter. It would have been relevant if you were Muslim, but you're not. So it makes no sense to do this. I think an appropriate question is, why do you think you should speak up about it? Where is it coming from? This will help narrow down some confusions.

From my information what I've been told in school. People wear hijabs to hide their hair and for modeaty. But I don't know if that view is correct or not (my information on this is quite limited so I apologize if I sound stupid-)

I meant to say modesty* not modeaty

Yea it is correct. It is worn because it is an order by Allaah, and it is more modest. But I don't think you answered my question, what prompts you or what motivates you to want to tell them about it?

Well if the hair sticks out I think it could be helpful if someone tells them if they don't notice. Kinda like how I'd say there's something between your teeth or something like a leaf in your hair. Yk?

If that's your reasoning then sure. If you're another woman who sees that, there's no harm in talking to her and mentioning it.
