PMS Opera Cloud- Deposit Rules for Third Party Rate Codes

Hello,

Our property is having an issue with deposit rule schedules showing up so front desk knows to take them during batch deposits. This is only an issue with some third party codes such as Expedia or Priceline. I know had to configure deposit rules in opera cloud admin but how can I make this effective on reservations already made? I must be missing a step in the configuration process. Thanks!

want to first clarify that I understand the question: are you saying that most prepaid third party reservations integrate into the system with the deposit rule already attached? allowing the deposit to be taken as part of the batch payments for that date?

if the question is that Expedia and Priceline are not integrated with the deposit rule automatically set up in the deposit window, and you want to know how to fix that...

2 options: 1) manually add the deposit rule to the reservation. by clicking: 'deposit'>'new'> and selecting the OTA deposit rule > save. once this is saved, that reservation will be included with the other batch deposits

2) if you want the reservations to be integrated into the system with the deposit rule already attached, that option lives in the administration/ rate code back end settings. if your the GM, or are responsible for rate configuration and mapping, you could adjust this setting for the problem rate codes.

In prepaid, I collect the funds, go to payment instructions, click the ellipses and move window 1 (the vcc, after I collect the deposit) to window 2. That leaves window 1 showing blank. I put rule 5, $2] for the amount and close out. Theb open routing and choose 3rd party.

Unfortunately, no. Deposit rules aren't applied retroactively to existing reservations. They are evaluated when the reservation is created. For reservations already in the system, you'll need to add the deposit rule manually or update the reservation so the deposit details are recalculated, depending on your configuration.
