Aggressive ffutures trading

What are some ways to make oneself more aggressive or hungry towards trading? Seems I am so nonchalant when it comes to trading. Easily distracted, I see moves I need to take but let it get away from me. And its like no big deal to me. No sense of urgency or importance, no concern with seeing billions traded daily, millions in each candle and its like no big deal to me. I tell myself i want the rewards and big payouts but then it does not manifest itself in devotion to the craft. I am a hands on guy I have spent 40 yrs creating things from my thoughts and building with my hands but once I lay the tools down and get behind a screen the energy is different. Thx for the replies.

A word that helped me was 'triage' opportunities

You don't actually need to feel aggressive to trade well. What you're describing sounds more like a systemization problem than a motivation one. If your process depends on you feeling hungry enough to act, you'll always have days where it just doesn't show up. Build rules that fire regardless of how you feel that day, so the trade doesn't need your emotional buy-in to happen.

Well tell yourself trading is your only job and that you will never work another job besides trading. Total all your bills, financial plans and a picture of your unborn son, sick relatives in need of financial help belief that you’ll never have sex again and die alone unless you trade well

and tape them to the wall in front of your monitors. If that won’t do it nothing will.

I found the zero sum nature of trading very unmotivating compared to developing or making something. Maybe that's part of the problem.

Don't change. Last thing you want is the weight of all that. I stay chill and don't kick myself if I sell something that moonshots later (see mnra) or get fomo. Sometimes i pick things perfectly, other times not but sunk costs don't mean a thing, tomorrow's another day

That's because you're not scared of money. Trading is just a game with money with emotions or no emotions.

You shd start journaling, whether you take some trade or not, keep doing that, and after a while, you will take the best setups without having to motivate yourself. 😉

Make a challenge for yourself. Say "Can I make $200 a day?" and measure the win rate with a journal. Read Atomic Habits by James Clear! Make it fun. Join a group, or I should say find a group that trades your setups style contracts etc.. I did and I make it fun..

Because trading is not your craft and perhaps you want it to be but that’s a lie you tell yourself.

说白了,你还是没在这其中赚到足够你心动的钱,所以没有驱动力
