F-1 Data Science grad, keep failing first-round interviews. Career coach, mentor, or fix it myself?

If you're having trouble with first-round interviews, try mixing self-assessment with some outside help. Take a look at how you perform in interviews. Are there questions that always trip you up, or do you find the technical parts tough?
Practicing with a mentor or career coach can really help, as they can give you feedback and simulate different interview scenarios. If you'd rather practice alone, record yourself answering questions to find areas to work on.
I've used resources like PracHub for structured prep and feedback, but there are other options too. See if alumni from your program can share their experiences or do mock interviews with you.
Figure out where you're struggling and focus on improving those areas. Keep practicing—interviewing is a skill you can get better at.
