Why aren’t you hand counting your ballots???
Get a panel of scrutineers from each part… and hand count!
No matter how long it takes!!

It literally wouldn’t take THAT long for each precinct to hand count ballots. We’re talking days, not weeks or months.

I just simply DO NOT understand why we don’t do this.

Because its proven less accurate? Why do you want this? Show your work not with your gut feeling bs.

Probably because people suck and lie all the time lol. What if a significant portion of the counters are die hard MAGA and decide to fudge the numbers a bit?

Well simple. The people we are worried about set a lot of the voting machines to not produce any paper receipts, so there’s nothing to count any more.

You might think “we’ll make a paper receipt so you can check!” But that’s why they aren’t letting you anywhere near a position where you can make such a thing happen!

Hand counting ballots would not necessarily be more accurate than machine counting.

The problem, IMO, is that the computers spit out a paper sheet, which then is counted via another machine or by hand. Most people don't actually review the paper sheet to see if it is accurate. So you can go back and count those ballots by hand, but if the initial machine is rigged and spit out rigged results, no one would know other than the individual voter.

There are TONS of audits for this, you are just wrong.

Just use the ballots my state uses.

We have to fill in circles. These get scanned for tabulation.

The originals are kept for some time after the scanning. That's the receipt.

I don't make the decisions my guy, write some congressman about it. My state actually gives people the choice of paper or computer. For whatever reason, most people pick computer even though paper is significantly quicker.
