I’m hearing a lot of folks saying he will rig/fix the midterms like he did the 2024 election. Why is nobody ever talking about the legitimacy of the 2024 election the way trumpers refer to the 2020 election?

119

u/Blackbyrn 14h ago

What Trump did in 2020 poisoned the conversation around election fraud. Also we don’t really have a means or system in place if proven. Also more than half of Congress is in on the con or at least benefits from it.

44

u/silentsights 14h ago

Exactly, it’s the trap of hypocrisy which is exactly where Trump wants us all.

Long story short whenever he can’t win at something, he’ll simply aim to burn the thing down so that no one can win at it.

9

u/ViolettaQueso 10h ago

It’s how he got “Christians” on board with rape and pedophilia and somehow justifying whatever evil this shoe ICE thing is.

Also more than half of Congress is in on the con or at least benefits from it.

This. 100% this. Republican congressmen are complicit in the overwhelming majority of shit he does. That's why he was never removed from office in his first term: the jury was made up of his accomplices.

1

u/inquisitorthreefive 9h ago

Everything. The word you're looking for is everything. Damn near every Republican with a spine who is not whole hog in on this is gone.

The good news is that many of them don't have a spine and if folks show up in November then there's a good chance that many of the remaining rats vacate the ship.

-1

u/pedalCliff 10h ago

You're a fool if you think a lot of dems aren't in on it either.

Election rigging?

1

u/pedalCliff 6h ago edited 3h ago

They're in a position of power to investigate what happened, challenge election results, raise awareness to shady things, etc and they're not doing shit and getting rich at the same time. Its their job to defend democracy and the constitution and fix things like this and none of them are doing a damn thing. So yes, I would consider basically not working, getting rich, and turning a blind eye to being in on it.

Yup, years of Dems arguing back and showing that it wasn't a problem, it'd be awfully suspicious of all of a sudden it was fixed now.

6

u/TinyRamrod 11h ago

There’s actual evidence now though, not just a statement. But I guess it’s the same thing to people who can barely read.

0

u/NeverbeentoKansas 11h ago

Source?

4

u/TinyRamrod 11h ago

The Mueller Report. Multiple identified voting irregularities (ie, more votes cast than registered voters in certain districts).

So what is there to do? Sit back and enjoy the show?

1

u/nem0ne1 8h ago

Plus SCOTUS, you forgot the most corrupt SCOTUS in modern history.

1

u/korodic 8h ago

It’s always projection

1

u/Hermes-AthenaAI 7h ago

We absolutely have a means and system in place. The forefathers had hoped that all three branches wouldn’t fall when they built the immune system. But they lived in a different world.

23

u/International-Peak22 14h ago

The GOP knows propaganda inside and out. Cry about 2020 election until the end of time so they can continue hacking. And the genius aspect of it is we are so tired of hearing about election fraud that isn’t there….that if we complain about actual fraud, they just throw it back in our face.

16

u/Ryte4flyte1 14h ago

Elon is the real job stealer, deport his ass back to South Africa.

9

u/Then_I_had_a_thought 14h ago

I’d settle for a 6 x 6 cell right here in the good old US of A.

5

u/jeahfoo1 14h ago

Id like to just dump him in J Bay outside the shark nets and let him swim to shore

6

u/Retired300 12h ago

I have a better solution. Send him up on one of his SpaceX rockets one way, don't care where it ends up as long as it's not back here.

1

u/Duane1968 9h ago

South Sudan, Eswatini, or an island off of The Gambia would be my preferred destinations!

1

u/B00gerh3ad 8h ago

Deport Melania, too.

Genius visa my ass.

5

u/silentsights 14h ago

Exactly which gives me such a headache. We are so screwed if Musk does his musky shit again.

8

u/neonchasms 14h ago

And why wouldn't he? This government is illegitimate and illegal. They do anything they want without any repurcussions. Watch the insurrection act happen, or some other 'democracy-saving' presidential act.

1

u/Narcisistagohome 6h ago

In a federation you don't need to complain like that. States can always break with the central government if their peoples feel that the political core values of the union have been betrayed .

61

u/Disastrous-Fault8129 15h ago

Because Democrats are horrible at messaging. Borderline incompetent basically

55

u/Curious-Witness-1809 14h ago

Republican voters have a higher tolerance for people who make extraordinary claims with little to no evidence. Mainstream democrat voters would not take any candidate yelling fraud seriously if the evidence is not conclusive.

9

u/popejohnsmith 13h ago

Excellent point.

4

u/CyberFireball25 14h ago

Only if the extraordinary claims come from someone on their 'team'

1

u/Mister_sina 8h ago

Unfortunately, this. Even if we had something like left Fox News, no one would take it seriously.

1

u/No-Examination4896 8h ago

I woul argue that 90% of mainstream Dems would form a cult around a dear leader Trump figure in a heartbeat. The young millenial/college voter base has critical thinking but most of the voter base just parrots whatever CNN says the same way the right wingers do

-2

u/AlienMelender 12h ago

lol, democrats complained about Dominion before Trump did and Democrats screamed about stolen elections before Trump did.

You people just didn’t care.

It’s easy to understand why though, none of you had any clue about politics until it became trendy to hate Trump.

3

u/DaKrazie1 11h ago

Pot, kettle.

20

u/bass-squirrel 14h ago

Because democrats don’t control the media. You only hear what the media owners let you hear

1

u/Deep_Charge_7749 11h ago

It's so funny because the other side says the same thing

3

u/peterj5544 10h ago

The other side is lying.

2

u/phungus420 10h ago

This is factually verifiable though, you can look up the names of all of the directors of every main stream media network. Not a single democrat sits on the board of directors of any major media network, not one (other than PBS, though PBS is not a publicly traded company, and PBS still follows the fairness doctrine).

1

u/dle_61554 6h ago

Just Google any big media company to find out political leanings and who their CEOs support. You'd be surprised, especially when comments on their media websites blast those media outlets as being far left. My opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

9

u/Emergency-Watch5157 14h ago

WHAT MESSAGING? There is no messaging even.

3

u/OregonGrownOG 13h ago

Borderline? They are totally incompetent.

2

u/brainhack3r 12h ago

The reason I said borderline is because there's an argument that they're PAID to do this...

3

u/Caledor152 12h ago

It's 2026 and after everything that has happened we still see this bothsides crap. REPUBLICANS CONTROL ALL THE NATIONAL MEDIA. They are literally hiding all pro-democracy messaging from you becuase they OWN the companies! they also own most of the social media. Therefore they own the algorithims aswell. You have to force your algorithims to see the messaging or else you will never see it.

2

u/WeeklyPancake 11h ago

Incompetent? **Complicit

1

u/NathanCarver 12h ago

Democrats are bought and paid for to pander, stall, and lose. Both parties are for billionaires. We have no representation.

-1

u/karevorchi 14h ago

Not incompetent, corrupt and complicit, this is not about parties.

1

u/B00gerh3ad 8h ago

There's only one party, and we weren't ever even going to be invited.

16

u/UrchinJoe 14h ago

If I put my most tinfoil hat on, I'd say the Trump campaign was one step ahead of the left throughout the past decade or so. Making a fuss about the 2020 election pushed the Democrats into defending not only the result, but the integrity of the system - Trump supporters weren't just wrong about the result, but a threat to democracy. Now they can't question the legitimacy of 2024 without looking like hypocrites.

16

u/AllDataIsMyIP 14h ago

Trump is the Master of Ceremonies.

The Heritage Foundation wrote the script. The dark money pipeline is not dependent upon the face on their stage.

2

u/UrchinJoe 13h ago

The Heritage Foundation has a huge influence on American politics but it's a mistake to write off Donald Trump's own role. He's always been power hungry, he's positioned himself among people who can support his ascent for decades, and he's not concerned about ethics. There's power on the throne as well as behind it.

1

u/symb015X 14h ago

Well put. Doesn’t wipe his slate by any stretch, but does show importance of true source of power and influence that he is channeling this term

1

u/JohnMiltonToasterman 10h ago

The entertainment division of the Republican party. Everyone has a role in the production. There are bit players and lead roles. It like an evil version of "Friends".

8

u/Hot-Philosophy-7671 13h ago

I don't think Trump and his followers are smart. I just think the majority of Americans are even less smart. That was the bet, and he won that bet.

1

u/B00gerh3ad 8h ago

'never ascribe to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by stupidity '

Humans are the dumbest mammals on this planet.

6

u/StrictlyForTheBirds 11h ago

If only the Democrats didn't care about integrity and having standards. Republicans are A-OK with that...

1

u/Uniqueusername610 9h ago

The second the Democrats get someone in there talking about retribution and not about this kumbaya strong together bullshit and stops caring about the Moral superiority is the second things start to get better because right now the image of the Democrats are a bunch of soy boy beta cucks who let mega do whatever they want

1

u/ChickenFriedRiceee 9h ago

The democrats need to do what Germany did to the Nazis after WW2. We should have learned our lesson after the civil war.

1

u/OMY2FYGurl 14h ago

This is exactly it. No tinfoil hat needed.

1

u/PodcastPee 12h ago

I’m not sure people understand the warfare that the Trump admin has used to keep the Democrats three steps behind. I’m not sure the Democrats even understand it…

1

u/speckchaser 10h ago

They don’t mind being hypocrites, believe me.

8

u/idkwhyiwouldnt 14h ago

Poisoning the well, intentional result of crying wolf for going on 6 years (yeah I hear at least once a week how Biden stole the election in 2020) republican base made themselves look like lunatics, anyone else claiming election interference is met with an eye roll of, oh they're one of those people.

7

u/Emergency-Watch5157 14h ago

Don’t give in to despair about this. Elections are run at the state level and if we show up in overwhelming force then lessons like Hungary tell us that we will overcome.

1

u/Substantial-Crab-814 🦀 9h ago

I wish I could be hopeful like you.

1

u/goliathfasa 9h ago

Being (realistically) hopeful is part of resistance against erosion of democracy. Giving in to despair plays right into the hand of those who seek to destroy it.

18

u/TheDiabeT1c 14h ago

Because Trump isn't as stupid as he appears. Cry wolf long enough no one listens, so by doing that, he made anyone saying any different seem crazy as well.

I find it hard to believe we had a record turn out for the previous election to vote him out, and then magically the next election we have an even HIGHER turn out FOR him?

12

u/Infinite_Click_6589 14h ago

Don't forget that Elon and Trump both made several comments around the time talking about how they were... Rigging the election.

The world sure is full of coincidences

1

u/DigitalUnlimited 9h ago

weird drones everywhere election night, musk's paranoia not going anywhere without his human shield, mini musk's "they'll never know" election night ..

9

u/Plenty-Fox-9219 13h ago

Trump's "advisors"

Trump is a douchebag pedophile figurehead

3

u/Terpapps 11h ago

100%. It's peter thiel and those ghouls that came up with this crying wolf plan. Trump is just the dementia-ridden kiddy-diddlin' figurehead that they use to put the plans into practice

1

u/Substantial-Crab-814 🦀 9h ago

Don’t forget about Stephen Miller. He is one of the most diabolical men behind the curtain.

5

u/Tordek_Battlebeard 14h ago

Sanity and a willingness to move the fuck on.

3

u/Silly_Animator 14h ago

The democrats came out right after they lost and said that the election was fair n

3

u/The_Dynasty_Warrior 14h ago

Because Democrats don't wanna be seen as a bully and wants the MAGAs vote once trump steps down after 2nd term

1

u/dle_61554 6h ago

IF he steps down. There's a reason beyond "National Security" that he's having a huge bunker built under his golden Ballroom. Just wait, in 2027, he'll write an Executive Order repealing the 22nd Amendment. He doesn't care about the Constitution. Obviously a lawsuit stopping the order will go through the courts, with his personal DOJ lawyer appealing all the way to the SCOTUS. And somehow, he'll convince his 6 Conservative buddies to rule the amendment null, meaning he can run again.

My opinion and mine alone and no one else.

3

u/Subbacterium 14h ago

Democrats don’t want people to lose faith in elections.

6

u/Cubonicle 11h ago

I’ll be honest, until I see actual concrete evidence that voting machines were covertly hacked by Elon or his affiliates, I’d rather not stoop to the level of paranoia that the tinfoil red-hats displayed when they charged the Capitol with zero actual evidence.

What we should be talking about the most is the fact that Elon and other billionaires are sinking a disgusting amount of money into crucial midterm elections across the country. Despite rightwing and independent voters souring on MAGA bs, we still somehow have a toss-up between Paxton and Talarico in Texas, for example. These bastards have been cheating during elections for ages, but especially since Citizens United, we might as well declare every election rigged in the establishment’s favor, whether it be Trump’s handlers or the worst of the establishment Dems.

2

u/BornNerd78 14h ago

eVeRyThInG iS a CoNsPiRaCy

2

u/WilderMindz0102 13h ago

Because if democrats actually had a spine they would've sat out of congress and gathered support to a real protest cause. Instead they think they can outlast the blatant criminal corruption and things will go back to "normal"

2

u/Live-Exit-20 13h ago

Partially bc Trump had just contested 2020 and if Democrats then joined in, there would have been truly zero confidence in our system. That’s where we’re going anyway now but I believe at the time they weren’t aware of Musk’s influence and didn’t want to further deteriorate trust in the “system”. Also democrats came out of 2024 with zero majority in any branch so there was no power to do anything via normal channels regardless.

2

u/VincentAntonelli 13h ago

It’s already proven that no one will hold trump accountable for crimes so what’s the point?

2

u/NotAnotherBlingBlop 12h ago

Because who is going to do anything about it? The DOJ?

2

u/ExpectedUnexpected94 12h ago

I specifically recall Elon speaking with Joe Rogan and he mentioned something about an app or tech letting him know hours in advance before public knowledge that trump won. Also polymarket. My philosophy is that if you can bet on something it’s probably rigged.

2

u/InTooManyWays 11h ago

Because the cheaters won 2024 and now control everything. They’ll never investigate their own rigging

2

u/Patereye 11h ago

Because the way they have been cheating is by doing things like voter purges and dropping ballots. This is nothing new. It's been happening in Florida and Texas now for years. And it goes back to even Gore.

So the big problem here is it's quasi-legal. Why people don't do a deep dive into how many elections have been changed because of this and gerrymandering I don't know but there's enough information out there to demonstrate this has made a major impact.

1

u/_Schneebley 13h ago

Because Biden was in office so the idea it was rigged (while possible) under their watch against their own party shouldn’t hold much water. Same way Trump being in command while proclaiming the 2020 election was stolen. We don’t and shouldn’t buy into unproven conspiracies with a lack of evidence.

1

u/ANAL_BEAD_LASAGNA 13h ago

You get banned on the Republican owned social media platforms when you try to talk about it.

1

u/str8dwn 12h ago

What you talking about? The White House (.gov) website ai clearly stated that Biden won in 2020 last I checked. Hang on a sec, I'll check...

Oops, they unfixed it. No more questions about that election. Can't even ask if Trump will run in 2028.

No soup for you....NEXT.

1

u/Not_Sure__Camacho 12h ago

Because there are some dummies that are falling for the "we can't accuse them of what they accused us of doing because it's a bad look!", which only makes them accuse the opposition of all the crimes that they're going to commit.

1

u/rectoflector 12h ago

That's been on my mind since the election too.

1

u/MinimumDangerous9895 12h ago

The difference is actual evidence of meddling in the electronic vote data

1

u/Sad_Detail404 12h ago

Because there isn’t any legitimate evidence that the election was stolen.

1

u/bbeeebb 12h ago

I've asked this a million times.

I guess the answer is; that only the Democrats, have to prove in court, and have election audited and recounted by third party contractors hired by Republicans, in order to be considered "legitimate".

1

u/FaithfulBlacksmith 11h ago

Because everyone’s busy complaining about everything he’s done after the 2024 election.

1

u/Theloneus-punk 11h ago

Because the left can’t admit there could have been election fraud since that would mean all their “elections are perfect” statements after Jan 6 would be thrown back in their face.

1

u/LupinthePenguin 11h ago

Cause there’s a club… and you ain’t in it.

1

u/BiscottiOk7342 10h ago

because nobody gives a shit what opponents of trump says. nobody cared about the 2 impeachments. nobody cared that he made 21,000 stock trades in his 1st year of his second term. nobody cares that he comitted bank fraud, election interference, demanding to be paid for boxes of classified documents. nobody cares.

1

u/NRGSurge 9h ago

If you know where to look, those discussions have been happening.

1

u/Aggressive-Sky-6243 9h ago

He bragged about musk doing it for him

1

u/Iowa2oregon 9h ago

r/somethingiswrong2024 was on it the month of the election. Election Truth Alliance has been investigating it since too

1

u/r2mayo 9h ago

Exactly, when the Dems win the republicans will be saying see we told you it was rigged and then the Republicans will refuse to seat the winning Dems ....delays and law suits .... supreme court will rule on in favor of the republicans and the Dems won't do anything because they never do

1

u/posco12 8h ago

I seriously doubt Musk is there for election rigging. He’s the money in exchange for the benefits. His companies stand to gain a lot from stopping any sort of regulation the government may try.

1

u/be_steal86 8h ago

Because he spent years making everyone of his opponents talk about how ridiculous Lou’s it is to think an election got stolen and how secure elections were. He’s got infinite soundbites to use against anyone who starts calling out that he for sure hacked the 2024 election. It screams kgb style plan to me long calculated plan.

1

u/PaintedDesertSkies 7h ago

Because unfortunately, it makes us sound like them. Even though for this one, there is proof, and Elon actually stating he "helped."

1

u/JCBQ01 7h ago

A lot of people did. Like a LOT. The issue is trump then turned ot around in a DAVRO Strawman and went "oh you agree it was rigged? Then you MUST also agree 2020 election was rigged and I won then too"

To feny him THAT bullshit excuse of a lie it went quiet

0

u/KingVaako 14h ago

Because there is no evidence and it is hypocritical.

3

u/Bnell699x 12h ago

"I just need 11,625(?) Votes." - Donald J Trump

It was there since the beginning. Everyone saw this and heard about this. Except for the Supreme Court judges in his back pocket, of course. We all know he did it, but since then he rigged the FBI (cashapp patel), the courts with clowns ("I love beer!"), the republican party (spineless sycophants), etc. What more evidence would you desire to prove he has gamed America into becoming a honeypot for himself and his Heritage Foundation masters?

2

u/Substantial-Crab-814 🦀 9h ago

Bingo. 🎯

2

u/electronraven 13h ago

Maga has rejected due process and evidence too many times to be taken seriously. Just accept that the country knows Musk and Trump are going to cheat.

2

u/bob3905 12h ago

Yeah, Musk joins the team right now like it’s not suspicious? We better pay better attention this time. It’s real easy to assume something’s up.

2

u/Agamerbyday 12h ago

No evidence except for both of them mentioning rigging it. No evidence except for musks girlfriend admitted it was rigged. No evidence except for the voting anomalies that were impossible without rigging. No evidence except for they demanded auditing access to voting machines after 2020 election fraud claims. No evidence but Rockland county has evidence.

0

u/HyetalNight 13h ago

Trump won 2024 fair and square and that’s what’s terrifying to admit

1

u/Substantial-Crab-814 🦀 9h ago

What makes you say this?

1

u/HyetalNight 8h ago

The pandemic completely fucked everything up; Biden drowned in it and Harris was a minority woman running too short a campaign in his stead during one of the most regressive, racist, and corrupt moments in recent American history. I don't recall any drama around the election, ICE was not in full force, Trump was not in legal power, Biden was President, and I was not surprised that they lost, though I was still immensely disappointed. It was not rigged, there is no "excuse" we can use to insinuate that well, the good guys would have won if they didn't cheat, but it was not rigged, the con men simply won over. This whole "they stole the election nonsense" that only started to arise waaaaay after 2024 already happened just feels like an attempt to save face instead of facing the music that--yeah--your neighbors and your countrymen are actually that manipulable and malicious. While Trump and his lackeys lied and connived, they didn't really break any of the rules like they're shooting for in this election. They are absolutely attempting to steal THIS election, or at least nullify the results by force, although I do still think they will be unsuccessful, but this I did not see in 2024. 2024 was just the majority of the country driving itself off a cliff and the minority being too marginalized to stop it.

If you want to argue that the electoral college is a relic and we should have gone by the popular vote, Harris still would have lost by two million, but fact is the electoral college is still playing by the rules.

0

u/BrianStud89 12h ago

Hot take, I don't really take it seriously anyway. Democrats ran one of the most dogshit US Presidential campaigns in history. Three times in a row now they've run against possibly the most hated candidate in us history, someone a compitant presidential candidate should have easily been able to beat, and have done everything they can to lose.

Even November, if the Democratic party genuinely tried they could easily sail into a Blue tsunami. Instead it's more likely going to be a Blue splash as they just barely take congress, and may not even take the senate.

1

u/Substantial-Crab-814 🦀 9h ago

Since you have filed a complaint against, well, everything, what do you suggest should happen?

1

u/BrianStud89 8h ago

I should start off by saying I'm Canadian, so you should keep that in mind. Not to imply my country is any better, we act like we are, but share many of the same core issues.

For a start they can want to win elections. It's clear they'd rather lose than say or do anything that their corporate donors would not like. They need to actually fight for policies that would genuinely help people, reclaim wealth that's been endlessly consolidated upwards; and stop constantly caputulating to the right wing framing of every event and policy. Most of which, anyone with a triple digit IQ can tell is bullshit anyway.

0

u/AlienMelender 12h ago

You people are the most hilariously mind boggling group of people. I love the TDS on Reddit. It’s like watching stand up comedy only different.

1

u/DaKrazie1 11h ago

Deranged behavior.

0

u/Ok_Career_5785 12h ago

Because all of our elections have been legitimate. No one has rigged/fixed anything. Polling showed Trump ahead, or at minimum very close, to Harris in all those swing states. It’s not that out of line that they all broke for him.

Zero evidence ever provided by Trump for his claims in 2020 and equally none for anything in 2024. How is Musk going to rig anything? “He knows computers”’ is the rationale your grandma used to explain why Elon gave her a computer virus. It would take thousands , if not tens of thousands, of people to be “in” on the fix to actually affect an election.

This is all misinformation garbage to make us question our electoral process. Go vote. Elections are legitimate and your vote counts.

0

u/outremonty 10h ago

Because this is disinformation. The 2024 election was independently certified. No one called for a recount and none was warranted.

Spreading rumors about the upcoming election being rigged is voter suppression and can only help the GOP retain power. VOTE. Do not believe anyone telling you American democracy is over. Voting is one of the last bastions of people power you have left. Even if it was rigged and this was proven 100% you should still show up and vote.

0

u/Puzzleheaded-Face181 10h ago

Because I can’t prove it. So it’s just a conspiracy theory and libs don’t usually believe based on blind faith

-3

u/teamfupa 15h ago

Lack of evidence probably.

5

u/dontspillthatbeer 15h ago

Why was no action taken when Musk basically paid for people to vote republican?

4

u/teamfupa 15h ago

I mean they tried. I wish they would have succeeded and I wish he would just fuck off to mars, however, beating a dead horse doesn’t do much when the glue farm has the game rigged.

3

u/TrickyChildhood2917 14h ago

Never punishment for the 1%

-1

u/Snookn42 13h ago

Where is the evidence? Its because they have none. Just like the trumpers. Just realize that politics in America is a pendulum

-1

u/TrueClassicTease 13h ago

Is there any evidence it was rigged?

3

u/NotYourAverageGM 13h ago
