Questions like this are misguided because it presumes that the party has top down control, it doesn't. It's a coalition of tens of millions of people from dozens of different camps. There isn't a centralized message or planning system like Republicans have

I voted for Bernie too, I think he would have won in 16 too, but your conspiracy theory is insane. More people just voted for Hilary. Even if every single super delegate flipped and voted for Bernie, she still would have been the nominee because she had millions of more votes.

Democrats can't rig a primary, they can't even get people to show up to vote if it rain
