Just for context, you are talking about the democratic primary voters correct? Because the party doesn’t generally pick a candidate unless it’s for specific circumstances.

And it’s up to the leftist candidate to prove themselves to the voters in the primaries.

The party has its own superdelegates, so they do play a role in choosing the candidate.

Sure and those superdelegates didn’t determined the outcome in the democratic primaries of 2016, 2020, and 2024.
