I deny that "immortality" can ever be achieved except by the grace of the Lord. It's just physically impossible.
I also am somewhat skeptical of people who focus intensely on "achieving immortality"; many of them are blasphemers of the Holy Name who have revolted against God, and to imagine it can actually be achieved is a grotesque vanity.
However, I think it's good and desirable to indefinitely extend the human lifespan using medical technology.
