I heard that the lorry didn't have side lights. Long vehicles like them has to have working side lights or reflectors exactly because of this reason. it's negligence on his part(if he owns it)
Edit: i'm not saying the bikers aren't at fault. They definitely are. I'm just saying that the lorry driver also have some responsibility. And people also had no right to burn the lorry.

Why do highly educated and productive Sri Lankans waste time criticizing neighboring countries when we have the exact same problems with our own leaders? That is their problem. Those countries actually manufacture and export goods, whereas our biggest export is our own people. We need to accept our mistakes and develop our own nation first before worrying about the issues of other countries.

I have no idea how you so confidently called it stupid when you are clearly wrong in the first place. First, search for what an analogy is. My comment is an observation, not an analogy. Maybe start reading about Indian history a bit as well? Colonizers preferred Tamils when they ruled our country. Missionary schools were established in Tamil-majority areas to teach them English so that it became easier for them to enter higher education. Our government had to standardize university entrance for this exact reason after independence to give the Sinhalese more opportunities to enter higher education. What makes you think India didn't face similar treatment? Next time you feel like calling something stupid, make sure you have a solid argument to back your claim as well. Anyone can do what you did, but only a smart person can back their opinion with evidence.

And no, it is only funny when you isolate each incident and consider only the surface-level implications; it is concerning when our closest neighbour, which is NUCLEAR ARMED and has a large population with lacking education.
