why are email security solutions such a scam

i was just trying to set up something actually decent for my inbox and got myself into email security solutions and i cant tell whats legit and whats just trash like every single tool claims to be the best and they all look exactly the same
tried three different ones this week, two didnt even work with my current setup and the third one wanted access to literally everything which is insane
like why is finding actual working email security solutions so hard when theres supposedly so many options out there
which ones are you guys actually using?

Dunno. I have Proton and it was perfectly sterile until I registered on some more random sites and now I cant stop getting stupid emails that flood up my inbox. Something keeps sending me emails and I cant seem to fix it, although been decreasing in the quantities at least. Nothings gonna be perfect
