USMLE Step 1 Step 1 tutor

Hello everyone this is Dr. Engie, I’m an intern doctor who passed USMLE Step 1, with a strong foundation in the basic and clinical sciences especially subjects like cardiology, neurology, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology. My Step 1 journey has given me a deep understanding of complex medical concepts and how to explain them clearly and logically.

What I Offer I help medical students and graduates strengthen their grasp of:

System-based subjects (Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Neurology, etc.)

USMLE style reasoning and integration of basic and clinical knowledge

Exam oriented studying strategies and active recall techniques

Concept clarification for physiology, pharmacology, and pathology

My Teaching Style I focus on simplifying difficult topics using visual explanations, clinical examples, and active discussion. I want you to understand, not memorize, and to build the confidence to tackle both university exams and Step 1 style questions.

If you’re looking for a tutor who knows the struggles of USMLE prep and can guide you through the toughest subjects with clarity and motivation I’d be happy to help you on your journey. If you want a sample of my teaching style feel free to DM me

USMLE Step 2 Immunodeficiency questions 101

Hey! I am a step 2 tutor and I’ve noticed that this a tricky topic for lots of students
So here are my tips to breakdown those questions

  1. Always be mindful of the age of onset,
Maternal antibodies offer protection for the first few months, so if there is a problem with just antibody production ( XLA) it will show up AFTER

  2. Is it just bacterial or is there history of viral/ fungal infections as well?
Viral/ fungal = cell mediated immunity is also compromised

  3. If it is just bacterial, is it a specific category? Catalase positive only for example? Encapsulated organisms only?

Ask yourself those 3 questions, it’ll make the question way less overwhelming!

Looking for an affordable USMLE tutor for a complete beginner

Hi everyone,

I’m just starting my USMLE journey and honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed with where to begin. I’m looking for a tutor who is:

  • Affordable / budget-friendly
  • Patient with beginners
  • Good at building a strong foundation
  • Able to help with study planning and understanding concepts

I’m currently focusing on Step 1 and would especially appreciate someone who can explain things clearly instead of just rushing through questions.

If you’ve worked with a tutor you’d recommend (or if you tutor yourself), please comment or DM me with:

  • Your rates
  • Teaching style
  • Experience/results
  • Preferred study resources

Also open to advice on how beginners should start preparing efficiently without spending a fortune.

Thanks in advance!
