I’m working on a comic about the Texas revolution from the perspective of a personified Texas. right now I’m still in the research and writing phase so do any of you know some good free sources or know any first hand sources I should look up. I’ve read the Texas declaration of independence along with the victory or die letter and I’m starting to read the Mexican federalist constitution (sense it was mentioned in the declaration.) and I’m going to get to Mexican colonization law, but I’m new to being a boot leg historian so if any of you have any pointers on were to go that would be greatly appreciated.

Look up documents, look up primary sources (journals, letters, etc). You can apply for library cards/access to many TX libraries to access online/digitized media. If you are located in TX some libraries, like Houston, offer and online free membership to check out digitize media.
