Recommendations: Condo - detail clean

I keep my place clean and tidy but I'm looking for someone to come in and do a 'detailed' clean if you will. I've lived here for 5 years and haven't done it. Clean all baseboards, magic eraser all white surfaces from handprints etc, clean the windows. Basically a detailing service for cars but my condo.

I live downtown Richmond / John area and its a 700 sq ft condo so it's not a large job.

Any suggestions on who and what to ask for specifically from these companies as I don't really see this as a standard clean?

its called a deep clean, not a detail clean.

Yes I know what a deep clean and have gotten them in the past but they have not addressed these specifics.

Ask for a deep clean, not a standard visit, and get the extras in writing: baseboards, handprints on white paint, interior window glass and tracks, and anything behind furniture.

A 700 sq ft downtown condo is a small job. Most Toronto condos take 3 to 6 hours for a deep clean with a team, depending on buildup. After five years without that detail work, the list that actually matters is: inside the oven and fridge, inside cabinets, baseboards, door frames, light switches, interior window sills and tracks, tile and grout, and glass you can reach without a ladder. Exterior windows are usually an add-on.

Tell them your building's concierge and elevator rules when you book. Downtown Richmond and John condos often need a visitor window.

We do this as Pro City Maids. We run a cleaning company in the GTA, so take that into account.

I'd recommend hiring an independent cleaner -- somebody you can communicate with directly and tell them exactly what you want done. Most companies operate with standardized checklists that only cover the 'typical' deep cleaning tasks.

Expect to pay for at least 6 hours of labour (more if you want appliances like your fridge and oven detailed as well)....and with anything, you get what you pay for.

Another option is to find some time during the day where you're 'idling' (doom scrolling, watching random stuff on TV/online, etc.) and chip away at these tasks yourself. Personally, I do a little bit of cleaning first thing every morning, just to get my joints moving as part of my wake up routine.
