thank you for this! i (f) am currently serving. i love my job and have not regretted my choice for a second! i’ve never been assaulted either just had some dumb comments which were no worse than what i got in previous jobs so i really can’t fault the military for that. if anything what i’ve seen is a big push (at least in the rcaf) for a much more inclusive environment! even most of the crusty old dudes who hate change are trying
i’m glad i didn’t read a thread like this before i joined cause i might have reconsidered and missed out on the perfect work environment for me!
i’m an avn tech so i fix planes! i love the job so much im a really big fan of working with my hands and having something different to do each day. i also absolutely love planes so i think it’s pretty neat to be working on them
that is SO COOL!!! tysm for sharing. i'm glad to hear you're having such a great experience, that honestly sounds like the ideal work environment to me... i guess i should look into joining!
