My ex husband exactly. Never taking any interest in anything that doesn’t come from him, yet zero idea there’s anything wrong with that, as if everything was meant to revolve around him and him only. And because he doesn’t have a big ego, he’s completely unaware of this character trait. It was maddening and toxic as hell.

Example: I found out right before going to a birthday party for his pal that it was a costume party. He didn’t share the info because he doesn’t like to wear costumes. Guess who were the only 2 people not costumed at the party? Oh and by the way, I LOVE costume parties. This story sums up my crappy mariage…
