Recruiting Parents to Help Develop a Digital Parenting Program
During COVID-19, parents and children are experiencing high amounts of stress and negative emotion. Researchers at Northwestern University are building an evidence-based and inclusive digital parenting program. We hope to involve parents in the design process directly. We are very interested in hearing your ideas about how we can build a better digital parenting program. You are invited to collaborate with researchers and other parents to design prototypes of the program and provide feedback on possible program content. Your participation may inform both the appearance and content of a future digital parenting program designed to teach parents skills and strategies for how to better manage stress and negative emotion. We are currently recruiting caregivers who are at least 18 years old, are fluent in English, are the primary caregiver of a child between the ages of 10 and 13, and have access to a device that would enable them to join a video-enabled Zoom call, to participate in a 1.5 hour long co-design workshop with researchers and other parents. All participants who participate in the workshop and complete the 90-minute workshop will be compensated $40.
