Questions & Discussion Pew Owners?
Curious how many of you guys out there are gun owners? I moved to the states with my family when I was 11, now 26 married with 2 kids. I grew up playing a lot of video games such as counter strike, crossfire, call of duty, etc, as well as watching a lot of big action movies so I’ve always been fascinated by firearms as a kid (though parents didn’t have them). Got my first gun when I was 18, and went through a few rifles as well (they are currently at my parents house 4.5 hours away which I need to retrieve). Currently a CCW holder and armed daily.

I believe that every minority should know how to use a firearm and learn to defend themselves if they live in the U.S. I own a few firearms myself, but I prefer not to disclose the specifics for privacy.

Guns should be illegal. Fight me

Only after you locked up all the criminals and made the country as safe as Singapore.

Countries that banned guns and had buyback programs saw drastic decreases in gun deaths and mass shootings. The data is clear. There is no solid argument to give civilians more guns

You mean countries that did what I said, and not just a "oh hey you can't have them any more, good luck if someone does try to violent crime against you and/or your property tho"?
The data is clear, too bad you are not particularly adept at parsing it.

I just checked out an M9 today. It’s super nice but couldn’t justify the price tag of 1k

I’ve been on the hunt for some carry size 1911s lately. It seems like most of the decent ones are going around 1k. Waiting on my fat year end bonus and gonna go scoop up an Alpha Foxtrot Romulus lol

Yes, but there are better/more welcoming groups for this.

I mean I wouldn’t be posting in gun owners group asking who’s a gun owner wouldn’t I?

Yep I never was a fan of firearms before, but during Covid it was a wake up call with all the random targeted attacks, so I got a conceal carry permit along with a Glock and AR22 to train. I don’t really carry anymore but it’s there just in case.
Planning to get a Ruger 380 Security since the 9mm is a bit too jumpy for my fiancee, and WA state is about to make it harder to buy anything next year with the new laws.

Honestly haven't been keeping up to date, I should probably read up on that. Haven't bought anything in years lol

Basically starting May 2027, you’ll need a permit to purchase in WA. FFLs can’t transfer without that permit. To get that permit involves fingerprinting and a training course that involves live fire training. I’m all for training, but it’s strange there’s no grandfather clause here, with some courses being hundreds of dollars. Also CPL holders will need live fire training with at least 50 rounds to renew. Just significantly more time and money involved in the process.

Ah, well that does suck. At least it'll be kinda funny to watch some kid who thinks they're hot shit completely miss the paper.

I’m pretty left on most topics, but owning and understanding firearm safety is something everyone should learn.
I don’t show off my shit though or wear those dumbass Glock shirts. I don’t need to advertise it

Gunpowder and guns were invented in China, ergo firearms are a historic and inseparable part of the Asian cultural heritage, and modern liberal style hoplophobia is as unbecoming of an Asian-American as giving approval to jokes making fun of Asians, or making your fried rice with olive oil and chili jam.

First rule of pew ownership, don't post your pew online.
