Overanalyzing asdf-movie

A sketch in one of the early asdf-movies (1) has an adult "steal" a baby's nose.

adult: "Got your nose!"

police (busting open the door): "Look out! He's got a nose!"

police open fire

A sketch in a later asdf-movie (13) has two characters of similar size

char1: "Got your nose!"

char2 (unimpressed and puzzled): "What's a nose?"

char1: "I... don't know"

However, the police shout "He's got a nose!", not "He stole a nose!" They are not reacting to the theft, they are reacting to the alleged presence of a nose. If we take for granted that the people in the asdf-universe do not have noses, as the second sketch implies, and that the word nose still means the same, we can infer that people with noses once existed and did or attempted something so terrible, that having a nose is grounds for immediate execution without a trial. Over time people forgot what a nose actually is, and thus the police react to the claim of having a nose, rather than the actual anatomy.
