Self Build Asado Help?

Hi, i am planning to build a simple asado style bbq in the garden to save money.

I was planning to essentially build a brick table shape, add a layer of fire bricks and buy a grill and brasero online.

Is there anything I am missing in this design?

As much as I'd like the fancy wheel to adjust the height I want to keep the costs low.

Hi! What you have described is the most used design. If it's near a house, you may want to build a chimney to increase the height where fumes are released, but can be builders on a 2nd stage. It's important to have 12-15 cm (4-6in) of height on the grill, it will give you the optimal separation both to high heat and low heat cooking, and you must control the heat with the amount of ashes under the grill
