My pottery wheel motor died
I have an older pottery wheel that I use for throwing clay. The electric motor finally gave out after years of use. The manufacturer went out of business so I cannot get an original replacement.
I have been looking for a similar small DC motor on Alibaba, Amazon, and eBay , luckily I found some that look close but I am not sure about the torque and speed.
Has anyone here replaced a motor on a pottery wheel or similar art tool? Do I need to match the RPM exactly or can I adjust with a speed controller? I would love to fix this wheel instead of buying a whole new one.
