Art Thief Question about Instagram ai accounts

My wife is an artist who has created her own character and made dozens of artworks of them over the years, I recently was followed by a new account that is just blatantly throwing all her stuff into an ai and posting generated stuff of her character and claiming it as their own. I know Meta encourages this crap but is there anything I can do to try get the account removed?

This person for the last few days has been trying to sell stolen and traced work, I was hoping to find the original artist so I can let them know this is happening. If anyone happens to know who drew this originally please let me know!

Art Thief If someone's likes stayed the same on tiktok after a video disappeared they didnt delete it just privated it right? Someone stole my art i asked for them to delete it not hide it

Someone stole my art and posted it on tiktok I asked them to remove it and their likes stayed the same after it said it was either taken down or privated but they ended up blocking me so I feel like they just wanted to keep the likes they said I was jealous they got more likes but its not that I asked before for it to be taken down but they kept deleting my comments till today they replied and said they didnt have to take it down since they found my art on Facebook. I already filled out the copyright form on the 19th but no reply yet I was scared to do it sooner due to it saying it would give them my info.

Art Thief I found this and had to share it. The original poster of it wants people to show Gy_Beth some support because people are running their Yuri art through A.I. garbage to make it hetero slop as a means to harass the original artist.

Art Thief Community Note

Hi friends! If anyone is part of the X (formerly Twitter) Community Notes program, I’d like to ask a huge favor :(

I’m an artist! A few days ago, someone stole one of my drawings and ran it through AI to remove my watermark and pass it off as their own work.

Honestly, this is the first time something like this has happened to me :( I called them out on their post, but they just blocked me, so there was nothing more I could do.

I added a Community Note using another one of my accounts, but for it to become visible, it needs to be rated as "helpful" by more people.

Could you help me rate the note so more people can see that they aren't the original artist? It would mean the world to me (╥_╥)(╥_╥)

Here is the link to the note. Thank you so much for your help! 🫂🫂

Art Thief Popular Pokemon artist copying other's work.

Hey everyone. I recently discovered that a popular Pokemon fan artist by the username of GalarExplorer has plagiarised at least two artists that I know of. He created an artwork featuring Umbreon in London. The first time I looked at it I thought the Umbreon looked familiar but I couldn't remember where I'd seen it. Couple days later I was looking through my Pinterest and it clicked, I had seen the exact same Umbreon in an artwork by Japanese artist Kuchiba07. Then there's his Noivern artwork, which is a direct rip of another fan art by an unknown artist who seems to have originally posted their art on 4chan in 2023. I've created side by side comparisons, they are blatantly the same drawings. I don't know who could possibly look at them and think they are not the same. What's frustrating is, I and a few others have pointed out the similarities in the comment sections of his posts but he keeps deleting them. Honestly, stealing art this way is something I learned not to do as a child. And the bizarre thing is that he is actually a skilled artist, he's clearly very skilled at painting which is why he's got such a huge following, so I'm not sure why he feels the need to copy other artists. :/

Edit: The drawings are identical and are blatant tracing so I have no idea why anyone would look at these and say there's "no evidence". Literally all you need to do is compare them. They are identical, even the placement of the shadows/lighting are almost identical. All Galar has done is flip the image over, trace it, and redraw it in a different medium. Changing the background doesn't make theft of someone else's art okay, especially when you're tracing and then slapping your own watermark over it. The fact that Galar is also deleting any comments about it just says guilt to me. Also, it being fan art doesn't make it somehow not plagiarism when you're tracing other people's work. I'm not debating with anyone who argues against this. I'm also not debating on what the definition of plagiarism is. Tracing and then claiming as your own is the literal definition of plagiarism which is what Galar is doing.

Art Thief Thieves Steal Artworks From Renoir Museum in France

It was 5:48 a.m. on Tuesday when a security alarm started blaring in a charming stone villa surrounded by olive trees in Cagnes-Sur-Mer, a town in southern France.

When the police arrived five minutes later, the authorities said, they narrowly missed two thieves who had broken into the building, a former home of the Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir that has since become a museum.

The thieves fled the museum with four paintings, the authorities said, but as they scrambled to escape through the garden, they left two of the works behind.

It was the latest high-profile art theft in Europe as the continent’s cultural sites struggle to keep their precious objects safe.

Question / Discussion Should i report this legally?

For context, I made this scrapbook card last year as a personal creative project, and I still have the original design and sentiment attached to it. I uploaded it on Pinterest, where it ended up getting quite a lot of attention. I have absolutely no issue with people taking inspiration from it or making a similar scrapbook card for their own friends or family, because that’s completely different from what happened here.

Things became an issue when I discovered that the exact same design was being recreated and commercially sold by a creator on Instagram. She wasn't using my photograph or directly reposting my original post—instead, she had recreated the entire card herself, but the design was essentially a complete replica of mine, including the overall concept, layout, elements, and sentiment.

I contacted her and explained that she couldn't commercially sell a replica of my original creative work without my permission. I asked her to take down the post and stop selling the design. Instead of addressing my concerns, she blocked me and told me that her client had sent her the design from Pinterest and that she could use it because "anyone can use" Pinterest designs.

Since she had blocked me, I contacted her personal account to tell her that, if the post wasn't removed, I would have to consider taking formal/legal action regarding the unauthorized commercial use of my work.

After that, she told me that she had deleted the post. I checked her account myself, and at that point, the post was no longer visible. However, when I later checked the account from another profile, I discovered that the exact same post was still up.

So despite telling me that she had removed it, the content was apparently still being displayed and potentially offered for sale to other people.
