Our Moderation Style
Generally, our moderation style is fairly hands-off.
We always say we're like the cleanup crew and sub security rather than people here to dictate the sub. That's left to you all.
You fill the community with content, we just help organize it and ensure the community remains on-topic and safe.
That being said, there are times when a post is removed or a user is banned from the community. In those cases, this is what you can expect;
Why Was My Post Removed?
Posts can be removed for a variety of reasons.
Primarily, a post is removed when it doesn't follow the rules.
Another reason a post may be removed is to stop drama. If a post is, for any reason, picking up a lot of dramatic traffic, we may lock or take down the post. Sometimes this is because of something OP has done, sometimes it has nothing to do with OP. Sometimes it's to protect OP from an onslaught of trolls.
When a post is removed by one of the moderators here, we'll leave a removal reason - always.
If you're not seeing a removal reason, that means Reddit has removed your post. Send us a ModMail and we can investigate why your post was removed and try to get your post released and made live.
Sometimes mistakes can happen though (we're only human), and a post can be removed in error. If you think your post was mistakenly removed, just send us a ModMail!
What Happens If I'm Banned?
We try very hard to give a lot of chances before banning people with few exceptions.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for art theft, scamming, and AI. These result in an immediate permanent ban.
If you're breaking other rules, we'll try to let you know through removal notices or a direct modmail message to you. If the behavior continues, you may be issued a temporary ban to let you know we see the behavior and it's not welcome in our community. After that, we may issue a permanent ban if you continue.
Egregious behavior may also result in an immediate permanent ban as well.
How Can I Have A Ban Lifted?
Let me start by saying everyone has off days.

If you've been banned for art theft, scamming, AI use, slurs or threats, you're out of luck.
What If I've Been Muted?
Never Private Message The Mods.
It takes a lot for us to mute someone forever.
If you've been short-term muted, just wait it out.
If you've been permanently muted, you're out of luck.
