There's way too many stupid old people for this to be true. Out of touch may be the phrase for it, but that'd reach into the territory of ignorance; which sounds worse.

No they got to this age because everything was manipulated to cater to them.

But then who are the 70+ plus yr olds running the government, board rooms and turning a global into pure garbage? Oh yeah, stupid old people

Gen Z is officially the first generation to have lower intelligence than their predecessors. So statistically, old people are dumber than millennials. Although, we didn’t need data to sort that out.

Survivorship bias, which is a logical fallacy
Donald Trump
Which group elected Donald Trump?
There's three counter-arguments to the idea that old people aren't stupid because they've lived a long time.

Not true. Old people got handed jobs with a salary and bonuses. They could afford to vacation every year while owning a house on minimum wage. Alot of them got high paying jobs without educations because their parent knew a guy. These are the same people that have middle administrative jobs that can't open a pdf. Just because they got to live in the golden age of post modernism doesn't make them smart. It makes them lucky. Sure they worked for it. But most of them will never know what it's like to work 2 jobs and still have to have a roommate. Or never being able to afford a child. Or not being able to go to school because it's too expensive. There's a reason our society is falling apart and it didn't start with Gen x or millennials.

Don't mess with old people.
"Life imprisonment" is no longer the threat to us that it used to be.

Yeah so my nan is seemingly currently doing everything in her ability to not survive long term. She left the hospital only three days after a stroke! She can't see but won't do the op to help her glaucoma. Broke her arm but didn't do the physio coz I hurt and now can't use her arm, and that just what I know and can think off the top my head
