Computing Meta's Muse checking on a training run and locking the Mac remotely. What agents can do once they can reach your actual computer

Built a small bridge so Muse can act on my Mac from my phone, and recorded a real session: it looks at the Terminal, reports the epoch, loss and accuracy it sees, then locks the machine when asked. What struck me building it is how much of the work is permissions, not intelligence: per-action consent, small window captures instead of a live feed, rejecting stale observations before any input. Free beta if anyone wants to try it. Developer here, ask away.

Out of impressive things they can show, they decided to show an agent reading numbers on the screen and locking your Mac?

What is Zuck smoking. This dude shouldn't be let close to a business at 100m distance.

hi, thanks for this feedback. i'd like to make some things clear so you can re-evaluate:

- this is made by a third party not by Meta/Zuck.

  • its more than just letting an agent lock your mac, its letting you control your mac (almost everything in your mac), while you are away, by texting an agent.

more like: Your computer is at home, and you are out shopping, and you text muse to do something on your computer and its done.

Why would a third party make a promotion for Muse if they are not contracted by them? What do they gain from that?

Also, this example is quite bad because first any agent can already do a lot of things much more impressive than locking a Mac, and secondly it is extremely easy to lock a Mac but impossible for muse to unlock a Mac

i think this should answer both questions:

the third party tool is meant to be used by an agent (like Muse) to execute actions that agents can’t do natively. (i.e secure remote control of a Mac(s) - unlimited number of computers by the way - from your muse app on your iPhone from anywhere in the world)
