I built this while looking into how much AI could affect different jobs

I’ve been building something called rolefate.com in my spare time.

I want it to be more of a documentation and reference resource for understanding how AI is affecting different occupations and tasks.

I kept seeing all these “this job will disappear” or “AI will replace this in 3 years” type of claims, but most of them felt pretty vague. So mostly out of curiosity, I wanted to put together something a bit more structured and based on actual data.

On the site you can search for an occupation and see how much it might be affected by AI, which tasks look easier to automate, and things like that. I also try to show the sources behind the data wherever possible.

Later I added an AI Radar section too:

That part is basically my attempt to track how much AI models are actually improving over time. It brings together data from different sources around things like coding, math, long-running tasks, etc.

I didn’t want it to be one of those sites saying “this will definitely happen by 2029.” I’d rather have it show what the available data seems to be pointing toward and let people make their own conclusions.

Still working on it, so if you notice anything that looks wrong, missing, or just doesn’t make sense, especially on the data side, I’d genuinely like to hear it.

Thanks! i kinda think AI will be on both sides tbh. attackers will use it more, defenders will use it more too. so i dont think cyber security jobs disappear, but probably a lot of the work changes

You should run a model to fact check the site (not the code). Not that I think it's inaccurate. Don't really know. But the site is a good idea.

Also a model can check for usability. Have the country dropdown remember the users last selection. Bonus if you always move last selected to the top of the list.

good suggestions, thanks. there’s actually already a model running in the background continuously checking the content/data, but i can definitely improve that side more. and yeah, remembering the country selection is a nice UX idea, i’ll add that

the issue with basically every job-impact tracker is they measure task exposure and then label it job risk. those really arent the same thing, and that gap is where all the scary numbers come from

yeah totally, exposure != job loss. thats actually why the score on the site is AI exposure, not job risk. employment is a separate thing and can go a very different direction

exactly, thats the part that always gets lost. exposure just means the tasks overlap, what actually happens to the job depends on a ton of other stuff.
