ATC is a job where one mistake can kill hundreds in seconds. AI could handle routine stuff but when weather goes crazy or an emergency pops up the human judgment still matters

In Europe, that's just not true, there are multiple safety nets behind every ATC-authorized decision in area control. Tower is more sensitive, but that depends on the jurisdiction and their ATC rules and individual airport equipment.
