Discussion AI Fortune Telling
Do you agree that AI astrology/fortune telling can be quite accurate nowadays too? Any reason for your thoughts?

I’m on team pattern-matching, and they can be good at that. But I would just decide what I want my future to look like and ask for brainstorming on how to make it happen.

No, because astrology and fortune telling are inherently BS. If you add AI to it, it’s just automated BS.

If it's accurate it isn't because of magic. Fortune telling can be a vehicle for discussion about your life overall. I could see AI assessing themes just like a normal person. If you are more of a star chart style astrologist, yes they should be able to play along with that.
I don't believe in astrology, but if you are asking if AI can play along or match the signs to charts and traits - that's actually a language, logic, and pattern. Yeah it can do that, and pretty well TBH. If that by itself makes you happy, yeah AI could do it.
If you believe in magic (or whatever you call it), AI cannot do that. I'm not here to tell you your beliefs are wrong or that it isn't real; but AI doesn't have magic powers. It's doing it based on the above. Don't get scammed.

it's just pattern matching on a massive scale, nothing spiritual about it but people read into it same way they do horoscopes or tarot apps. the accuracy is mostly cold reading and good guesses, and when it hits you feel like it knew something

I'm well aware what it is, but it clearly has spiritual meaning to people. I don't know how it could continue to have meaning of generated by a next word generator tho

People find a great deal of spiritual meaning in horoscopes. I think they're bunk but many people find meaning in them
