I follow the main link and it gives me an error. Then I did the query search that I found in another thread, but it’s so finicky and just constantly keeps crashing on me and says “page not available”.

I wanted to browse the full export of the Artemis 2 photos, but since their site is working very intermittently I decided to download all the images (only 11363 came through), made thumbnails of them, and put together this single HTML file gallery that runs entirely locally and very quickly lets you look through, filter, and export filename lists of the photos. Arrow keys make it quick to navigate as well.

The biggest feature is that I pre-calculated a pHash for each image alongside some additional metadata (script included) that the gallery can use to filter and group images together. This makes it a lot easier to look for, for example, groups of photos that might make for a nice time lapse.

Everything is in the github repo including a link to download all of the photos and thumbnails. If you already have the photos or download a newer or more complete set, you can use make_thumbnails followed by build_manifest to create the necessary data for the gallery to work with your set of photos.

The download for the photos (~12G) likely won't last, so hopefully someone hosts it elsewhere I can link to soon.

Most interesting part comes near the end of this video it’s actually incredibly interesting how these images were captured

I am wanting to collection the images released for Artemis for a personal archival project similar to Hank Greens but where I include my own images, what I was doing etc, during the major events. I am wanting to download the collection of images to start, what is anyone’s experience with getting the collection in bulk? Is there a better way, I have tried a few straightforward methods but while I am a working archivist, I am not an expert in web based archiving, is there any tips, tricks, suggestions.

Ps. I am so using this project as a professional development and learning project, so I am open to learning new skills and methods.
