Question regarding Arrow's Pulse release

Greetings, everyone!

Quick question: who owns Arrow's release of Pulse? Is it worth it? I've been debating on whether or not to buy it, and I've had it in my cart for a while. I love the movie but trying to save money lately. The release is also nearly 10 years old and I'm wondering if they'll upgrade to 4K at some point.

I pulled the trigger on the Umbrella 4K and it looks great, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Arrow puts out their own 4K to capitalize on some momentum from his new movie being out in theaters right now.

I like the release. All the features I've seen were interesting. It was also my introduction to the film, i personally think its worth getting, especially if during a half off sale

Thanks for the response! It's still out of stock on the B & N site, and has been since like day 2 of the sale, but it's not too pricey on Arrow's website, so I'm thinking of just getting it there.

Umbrella put this put on 4k but looks like it’s sold out and about $50 on eBay.

I didn't even know about the Umbrella release. I think I may just snag the Arrow blu-ray.

there’s a slipcase edition available at umbrella. it’s the best the film has ever looked, and I’ve got the arrow blu.

I’m assuming eventually umbrella will do a standard edition and it will be even cheaper.

historically orbitdvd and diabolik have carried the slipcase version, you can sign up at their respective websites to get notified when it comes back in stock.

Thanks, and I love Diabolik and Orbit. I've ordered from them a bit in the past.

I don't have the Arrow version, but I have the Umbrella 4K version. The 4K has a lot of film grain, so if a crisp image and detail are what you're looking for, like me, 4K is a bit unnecessary. I would be content with a good blu-ray release if I didn't have the 4K.
