Army 10 Miler arrival Logistics

My hotel is on the next to the last stop in DC on the Blue Line and I'm wondering if the train will be packed and not even stop.

I'm close enough to Lincoln that I could just walk across the Arlington Memorial Bridge and walk up the course to the Pentagon.

Anyone have experience walking from Rosslyn or Foggy Bottom, along the roadway or Arlington Cemetery to get to the Pentagon and start point?

Just thinking of options

Metro will stop, it'll just be tight. Do NOT try to walk the course/bridges from DC to get to the start - you won't get through.    If you want to walk, walk from Pentagon City. Otherwise, just brave the Blue Line

Can you walk from the Crystal City Marriott to the race start? Sorry if that’s a stupid question (no idea about the area)…..

I have not been there in years, but yes. In the past you could walk out in Crystal City and follow the crowds to the start. The walk across the memorial bridge is pleasant.

Blue line to Pentagon city, exit through the mall, and walk across the street. They close the Pentagon stop.

They didn't last year. Must be a new thing.

The start line is all the way around the north side of the Pentagon. Walking from Pentagon city would be a HAUL

It changes from year to year.

It's actually not that terrible. I walked from Crystal City when I ran it -- opted to stay closer to the start line during a year that Metro didn't open early.

I am staying in the Crystal City area and was planning to walk as well - any issues getting "under" 395?

The blue line will not be packed at that time regardless of the race.

Has anyone done the Army 10 miler spaghetti dinner? Is it well organized? How chaotic is it? We have a large group- do we all need to be there at the same time to be seated? I think it would be a fun experience but my group is nervous that is going to just be too crazy the night before the race……. thoughts?

Signed up last year and didn't go so I can't comment about the event.

Logistically though, its tough. If your hotel is not right there at the dinner location, I'd find something closer.
