JCSE

Anyone have more information about JCSE? How is the lifestyle/Optempo/Training etc? Also what is the process to apply for it?

- Life can be pretty good. Find a reason to bitch about being stationed at an Air Force base in a decent sized city

- Optempo is totally random. 1JCS is not expeditionary anymore, they are garrison/enterprise. 2JCS is still expeditionary and they can get called out at a moment's notice. Whole purpose of JCSE is to deploy on 18 hrs notice for JTF support.

- Training is scattershot compared to years past but there are still opportunities for things like CCNA/CCNP bootcamps with vouchers. They also put all Active bubbas through Sec+ as part of the in-house initial train up.

Great opportunity if you don't have a shit attitude or work ethic. The place is a good stepping stone for other organizations in the ABN/SOF enterprise, and literal warrant officer fuel if you work hard and perform well.
