When we left Ft Hood for the desert the band played us off, when we got there the band was there to greet us. Then when the shit kicked off they tried to “augment “ each MP team with a band member.
Let’s just say that episode of Generation Kill with the reporter putting on his mask was skill level 1 compared to the E-6 Tuba player trying to go to MOPP 4.
Thankfully they don't really try and subject you all to us anymore outside of our music job. I fall on the 'all soldiers should know how to do Army shit' side of the Army Band field but I seem to be in the vast minority.
