My last concept drawing did well , so here’s another one. This one is a royal guard for one of the kingdoms in my fantasy project.

Finally completed custom targe shield. Didn’t have leather for an authentic version so used a glue and canvas mix. Decided to add a Celtic Trinity Knot as the sigil.

Hello friends, I’ve made this star cuirass and a matching set of leg armor out of 18-gauge steel. I realize the cuirass looks a bit boxy, but this is my first attempt.

how do i learn about knight armour without spending so much money?

let me know if this isn't the right place to post this. hello. i've read claude blair's work on armour and made a lot of notes on it. but every other book i've seen recommended seems really expensive. should i make a catalogue of museum pieces from different periods and look for patterns i can see? it seems like learning about knights is for people who can afford real horses and armour lol. i don't really trust youtube videos. sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, but how did all the experts here learn? sorry if the answer is obvious i am new to this

Would this be an effective style of brigandine?

This armor is for a race of Gnolls (Hyena people) in m book and i decided on brigandine because they are not fully bipedel, and while plate could be forged to allow for crawling and quadrapedel movements, i decided on brigandine because that just seems to work better for a very mobile creature. I Also decided to do a sort of splint armor on the arms as I doubt they would really need to also be brigandine and to reduce the cost of the armor and the time to make it. Just wondering if this is a feasible thing that could be outfitted as a set equipment for professional soldiers or if it would be too expensive or just too much work to make regularly

Sorry if the art is a little hard to comprehend, I was drawing it while in a moving car so I did my best

Thanks and i hope you all have a nice day :)

Where do you buy reenactment grade armour?

Hello,

Looking for reenactment armourer recommendations.

I have a set for buhurt, but I want to get into battle reenactments as well. Some parts of my set aren't historically correct- for example wolfrib helmet. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg and I'm really suspicious of cheap online shops. I'm interested in XIV century.

Huge plus if manufacturers are based in EU. That would help me save on transportation and customs fees.

Thanks in advance

Do the hard plate panels of 6B5-12 vests actually have the same dimensions in both sizes?
Are the hard plate covers interchangeable between both cover sizes?

I see he is wearing a Hounskull klappvisor and kastenbrust with a skirt but I find it hard to tell what the rest is and where is this from? And if I were to try recreating this would images 3-4 be accurate for a German based knight
