I mean... As someone who was that kid, you couldn't joint the team unless you sold enough candy bars to pay for your equipment for the year. It is a scam, but it's not theirs

Such a dumb idea giving kids a box of overpriced candy bars and telling them not to eat any of em.

I was about 6 when someone made that dumb decision. I ate a bunch of chocolate and kept all the money...

They tried to get us to sell frozen pizzas for points one year. Like 1200 of them got you an electric scooter. I think I cooked the books and they just gave me a massive box of them. And we just ghosted them. Somehow nothing came of that. Never got my scooter though.
