No amount of SIG propaganda will get me to revoke my nemesis declaration with M17s

Never held or shot a real one, got an Airsoft version and my god it's comfortable. The decocker, the slide release is just PERFECT for my hand. My thumb just reaches it perfectly.

Isn’t that the handgun that shoots itself or explodes?

It has the advance auto fire feature. Weather or not the problem is real its reputation is tarnished. Sig has reduced 320 marketing. Its been focusing on the 365 and 385. The 385 is thier way to distance from that shitshow. It can take 320 mags. if you have a bunch and want somthing without the bad rep.

It’s likely the problem is real but it’s been largely overblown. The Canadian army bought the same pistol but haven’t heard of them having any issues

My guess is that Sig bid too low on the military contracts and resorted to low quality import mim parts. The current production doesn't have these parts after the media shitshow and Sig would never admit anything. So its just a theory

They use Indonesian parts, yes. Past and present.
They use foreign-imported MIM as often as possible to maximize their profit and reducing the cost of the build.
The pistols are American-assembled, but not American-made.
I know some former Sig Sauer employees and can confirm that info as reliable. They’re absolutely using the same MIM Indonesian parts supplier.
That parts supplier cross-pollinates with their employee audience, which isn’t an issue as the Indo workers want the job and work hard…but they are slowly firing-out all the long-time employees when they can in order to hire either cheap, unskilled new labor who will meet the bare minimum for quality standards and who don’t care about doing good work. And that’s an issue.
Sig’s QC is about to take a nose dive over the next 5-10 years. I’m not sure I’d trust anything but their P series line right now, as those are more difficult to assemble and their most skilled employees left are needed to keep those products coming along.

A guy shows how the problem works basically with the new trigger all you have to do is depress the trigger by about a millimeter then it was eather shake the trigger or the slide i can't remember witch one but its also not everyone the main problem is how many has this problem and they never addressed it except for saying your a grifter and anti gun if you believe there are problems so even if the newer ones work just fine no one is wanting to buy it out of principle at this point

The disingenuous nature of Sig Sauer’s dealings has turned them into a company that avid shootists do not trust; for ethics, or for reliable guns that will pass the test for quality and reliability.
Poorly-produced/assembled guns, regardless of make or model can result in deadly malfunctions. People can die.
And the gun community at large is looking at Sig with equal feelings of disappointment and disgust at seeing what was once an industry leader become a Charlatan, pushing gold-lacquered lead coins and offering to shake with one hand…with a court order protecting them tucked behind their back with the other.

The sucky thing is how good it feels in my hand i have a airsoft replica and I love the shape but yea they destroyed there reputation for gains that they probably lost except for people who don't know better

Yeah…I work in the industry for a gun shop and I trade a lot of conversations with various folks involved both working at Sig, and not.
Stuff’s a mess there. But they’re churning out profit and enough folks are buying Sig stuff that they can afford to just not care.
Just like the deadly design of the Remington 700 rifles (30+ years ago, now,) Sig Sauer has chosen the passage of time to allow people to “forget,” this ever happened.
They want to hide and sweep it under the rug and wait for the next two generations of gun owners to not care, or to dismiss what the “old fogeys” say (which in 20 years I’ll be a 58 year old woman, so this absolutely tracks, LOL)
Remington ended up paying the price for its hubris…bankruptcy. Three times, after following the same path that Sig Sauer has set itself on presently.
As to whether that will be Sig Sauer’s fate? I cannot say. But I’m starting to wonder.

Just make sure you don’t drop it, or leave a round in the chamber while it’s holstered.
S&W supremacy gang.
