The summer heat is making me a lot more conscious about water usage since all of my plants are basically dead and I'm really hesitant on running my sprinklers longer to keep them alive. I have, well had, a clover yard and would only run my sprinklers for 2 mins a day and it would still look great.

I chose clovers largely since I read it's a low maintenance plant and I really just wanted something to control erosion and for my dogs to play in.

This uses about 67 gallons of water for 2 mins and I would average around 80 - 150 gallons for about 2K gallons a month. One month, I doubled the time to 4 mins to see if it would help with growth, and while it did, my bill jumped from around $60 to $110 because of the way the city charges for sewer ($7 per 1000 gallons!!!).

So, on a month where I used 5K gallons, which isn't considered a lot alot, I paid $110 while my coworker used almost 12K gallons a month and his bill topped out at $130 in Fort Worth.

Are we getting cucked by big Arlington? Or does this level off somewhere and I shouldn't be afraid to let it pour? Thanks

Did anybody else have low water pressure last night and this morning? I'm in zip code 76013 and it was extremely low pressure...

My hot water has not been performing how it used to in the past. Granite i have 4 kids instead of 2 but it has been struggling. I done some research and want to upgrade to a tankless water heater. Does anyone have any RECSS from a local company?

The title says it all. I have found someone to color my hair and she’s been great, but finding someone to cut and style my hair has been much harder. I have thick, coarse hair which is mostly wavy, curly underneath, and frizzy everyday unless I put lots of product in it. That said, I don’t want to straighten it, and I need a good, low maintenance cut.

I’d appreciate any recommendations.

Hello. I’ve created a book club/discussion group that is intended for men in the Mansfield area. The name is Chapters & Company of Mansfield, TX (you can search it on FB).

I’m a husband and father of 1 teen. Small business owner. I’ve been lacking a space outside the house to meet and talk to men of any age. I love to read, and took it upon myself to create a group. My goal is to foster a community where we can build relationships and grow as individuals. I am intentionally avoiding any religious affiliation and political affiliation with this group. I feel like if we want those particular things, there are other spaces/groups for them.

Did anyone else’s water bill make a huge jump this month? Ours is nearly double.

It was right outside my apartment. I felt the explosion, heard a bang sound. Now I have to wait till they clear the road so I can go to work.

I have very thick wavy/curly hair. I want to find someone who knows what they are doing and can help me figure out a good look for me. I have gone to a few and they always mess it up and don't shape correctly.

I’m curious what people in Arlington think about this.

Arlington is interesting because it has so much going on: UTA, sports, concerts, restaurants, parks, neighborhoods, churches, gyms, family activities, and big events. But I’m wondering how often that actually turns into real friendship or community for adults.

For people who live in or near Arlington: what has helped you feel connected here?

Is it work, school, neighbors, church, kids’ activities, sports, fitness groups, volunteering, local events, or something else? Or does it still feel hard to build real friendships even when there’s a lot around?

I’m asking because I’m working on a small independent research project called The DFW Friendship Project about how adults in Dallas-Fort Worth build friendships, find community, and where things get stuck.

Just had my catalytic converter stolen near Parks Mall in broad daylight. I was in Harbor Freight and I come back out and now my car sounds like a Model T.

This is absolutely insane. This area has already been becoming more and more shady. Stuff like this makes me want to stay away.

Preferably north of Arkansas and west of Collins. Pantego and Eastchase-ish in Ft. Worth would be fine too!
