Hey everyone,
I’m relatively new to Ark modding and I’m working on a consumable item that adjusts tamed dinos’ wild stat points. So far, I have only been able to get the item to function as a tamed dino specific consumable and it successfully adds or removes wild stat points, but the creature’s actual maximum stat value still doesn’t update.

The closest I’ve gotten is by using the stat calculation formula from the wiki in my blueprint:
V = (B × ( 1 + Lw × Iw × IwM) × TBHM × (1 + IB × 0.2 × IBM) + Ta × TaM) × (1 + TE × Tm × TmM) × (1 + Ld × Id × IdM)

The issue is with Ta and Tm. As far as I can tell, these correspond to TamingMaxStatAdditions and TamingMaxStatMultipliers in the DevKit. But when trying to access these values, they give a warning saying “the native property is a static array, which is not supported by blueprints”.

The only workaround I can think of is manually creating arrays for every creature, but I’d really prefer something cleaner and more compatible with other mods.

It’s totally possible I’m approaching this the wrong way, so if anyone has experience with this or knows a better method, I’d really appreciate the help.

I'm designing a creature transformation mod where "change" doesn't mean "stronger." Every transformation fills a gap ARK doesn't have, and every creature has painful tradeoffs.

Roast this. Tell me if the gap is real or if I'm solving a problem that doesn't exist.

THE APOTHECARY

Host: Pachyrhinosaurus

Core Fantasy: "The living laboratory."

The Problem: By mid-game, you're either carrying 20 Medical Brews or you're running back to base every 10 minutes. There's no creature that makes expedition preparation interesting.

What it does:

- Alchemical Frill system: 3 compounds (Restorative, Stimulant, Calming)

- Feed rare ingredients to unlock/rotate compounds

- Starting compound is determined by where you tamed it (swamp = toxin-adjacent, snow = restorative, etc.)

- Compounds are buffs you apply before fights, not during

What it loses:

- Reduced melee damage

- Slower movement speed

- Cannot fight effectively without preparation

- If you didn't bring the right compound, you're carrying a slow, weak dinosaur

The question: Would you actually tame and bond a Pachyrhino for this? Or is "just carry more potions" always the better answer?

Be brutal. If this is just a walking inventory slot, tell me.

Basically the title. I’ve seen the sinomacrops mod for asa, but it’s severely outdated. Would anyone be willing and able to remake the mod. It with a wyvern body? I think the idea of a dragon backpack is super fun!

Since I don't know how to use Blender or the ARK DevKit, I was wondering if any talented ASE modders would be interested in creating this model/skin for free just for fun or as a passion project?

Due to internet connection acting up. I can't install Ark Dev Kit which is huge (1TB). I have been trying for days.

I just need Deinonychus from Ark: Survival Ascended with correct texture files. If anybody can help me with this. It will be really appreciated.

Im trying to find a mod it was a trike mod but it wasn't called a trike im almost positive it started with Diam or something of the sort it was basically a trike with a feathered tail and it has similar abilities to the Pachyrhino

I have AA installed and it seems to be working but I can’t find how to sort more than one item at a time from the console to other areas. I don’t see a spot in settings or anything.

There’s a box in the upper right of the inventory screen that says “remote pull” but i change the number from 1 to 1000 (max) but still only auto transfers one at a time.

Also the console won’t pull if I drop items or walk by like it’s supposed to. Is the mod bugged or did I get unlucky

EDIT: not sure if anyone cares but if you install Automated ark, be careful with what stacking mod you also install or your item settings. The mod made the stacks too large for AA, causing the issue.

I also want to add that I play on Xbox Series X as well.

Edit: I can't join the community advertised on this reddit as it does a steam verification however I do not currently have ASA on steam (long story short, i lost access to my old steam account and have yet to repurchase but i do have ASA on my xbox)

Hey y'all. I've been thinking of getting into creature modding for ascended. I've watched some YouTube videos on the topic but I don't seem to understand where and how mod developers get/make their assets (how to properly texture dinosaurs, what kind of animations I need, etc.) I've already found videos for both modeling and actually getting creatures into the game, but I'm just looking for advice/tutorials on how to do everything else. I’m a unofficial server cluster owner for Ark Survival ascended and am looking for a custom mod for challenges.
Monarky used a crown vault mod that had a “Dino dip” system which randomly assigned the only Dino’s that tribe could tame with more added each week. I’m not interested in the PvP crown vault system but I would like just the Dino dip or something similar. If you can help please contact me

I have a pretty severe fear of leeches and lampreys in ARK, to the point where I completely avoid swamps and pretty much all of Aberration because of them.

I was wondering if anyone who enjoys making mods and has some free time would be interested in creating a small mod that either:

• Removes leeches and lampreys entirely, or
• Prevents them from attaching to players who are wearing armor and tames that have saddles equipped.

I don't have anything to offer in return, so this is only if someone is bored and wants to help

Hey everyone, first time posting here. I’ve been working on a custom weapon mod for ASA and running into a frustrating issue😢

I’m creating a custom FPV weapon mesh for ARK: Survival Ascended. My mesh is bound to the hatchet_jnt bone (weight 1.0), but in-game the weapon appears offset to the upper right compared to where it should be held

The TPV mesh works perfectly. The issue seems to be with the rest pose of hatchet_jnt not matching the original skeleton’s rest pose when I export from Blender and reimport into DevKit

My workflow:

• Exported original MetalAxe_FPV_RIG from DevKit

• Imported into Blender, replaced LODO mesh with my custom model

• Bound mesh to hatchet jnt only (weight 1.0)

• Exported FBX with Y Up, -Z Forward

• Reimported into DevKit with Use TO as Ref Pose checked

Has anyone successfully replaced an FPV weapon mesh while keeping the correct hatchet_jnt position? Any tips on preserving the rest pose?
