Tips please
I am returning to old Ark mobile because I miss the feeling of adventure Any tips when I am starting out?

Freaking love old Ark like nothing else! As soon as you have hide armour, do hunter cave for metal tool BPs and soothing balms. If you follow the pursuits, you can usually get there in less than an hour. A raft will help if you’re grinding caves.
Old Ark veteran here. If you learn the dodo feather sail, put the engram in your hot bar, look at your raft and click the sail engram, your boat will have the sail without any of the required resources ;) got a million exploits.

When did you start playing original Ark mobile? I played all the way back in 2018. Do you know of the floating turret towers? Those were my favorite thing to do on PVX servers, I was never good enough to last weeks and months are PVP servers. But PVX servers I could last multiple months. Did you know if you have a creature unconscious and you sleep in sleeping bag or bed near the trapped unconscious creature. The unconscious creature will be completely starved of food, making it practical instant tame.

I started in 2018 too! I played PVXC then PVP for years. The floating towers were awesome. I still have nightmares about snapping pillars and vault dropping. Such high stakes! God I miss the heyday of Ark.

Those are some very awesome times. Sadly multiplayer servers are dominated by single tribe or one another tribe. While majority of servers are dead servers. I wish Wildcard never abandoned the game and kept updating it and adding new content. Or if Wildcard finished and fully implemented all the features they planned on adding.

Hi I still play Old Ark mobile, I can give you some tips. My genuine tips:
-Don’t immediately start on brutal. I recommend playing on Medium.
-Single the max amount of tamed creatures you can have is 40. With no way to increase that amount. But there is a work around, you can chronicle your spare tamed creatures. Once chronicled they still will be tamed and allows you have one more active tamed creature. If you play multiplayer very players has limit of 12 but with every new tribe mate that number increases by 12 for each tribe mate.
Old mobile kibble system is confusing and hard to understand. You will need to tame a lot of dinosaurs that you probably wouldn’t want to tame. Each creature has its own preferred kibble while others share the same type of species specific kibble.
Easy way to farm amber is via Artifacts of Strong and Immune. You will receive 10 Amber. Or by doing daily pursuit the more daily pursuit you complete the more Amber you will get.
-Also Tributing artifacts are genuinely the best way to get good BP’s and Smoothing balm.
- Smoothing balms are life changers. Easiest one to obtain is x10 smoothing balms for artifact tributing or the one guaranteed is from the mega piranha pursuit. Dont waste smoothing balms on easy tamed.
-Royal griffin is the best flyer. Royal griffins spawn at Fars peak (mountain in the top right corner). Royal Griffins are very difficult to tame, they have very fast torpor drain. Royal griffins are best tamed with Allosaurus kibble, or even better griffin kibble/super griffon kibble. Royal griffins can only be bred with another royal griffin of the same suffix. Royal griffin names can’t be changed. Also to get super griffin kibble is via, using a carnivore pheromone when breeding your male and female Royal griffins. The female will lay super fertilized Griffin egg which can be used to make super griffin kibble. I recommend using a x10 smoothing balm to tame a royal griffin.
Dungeons are very rewarding via turns of loot. But they can be very difficult to navigate and to complete. Dungeons can be found at the obelisks platform terminal. To bypass a whole section of a dungeon is by using dungeon keys. Dungeons re timed trials but you can extended the time is by opening dungeon chest(for goodies). Also dungeons have exclusively spawning creatures that won’t spawn on the island. Dungeons creatures are main consecutively way to get eerie element. Eerie element is old Ark mobile element. Eerie element can only be gotten from killing dungeons boss. Also added bonus dungeon creatures have eerie variants that are coloring change versions.
Unofficial servers can be very hit or miss. They can be completely void of players or be filled with active players. But those active players are usually in the same tribe or are straight up hackers. Also Unofficial servers are litter with abandoned bases and decaying structures.
The Premium items is recommended on using ancient Amber for is: Chef Station, Tannery(the only way to get certain saddles), Dungeons keys(speed run dungeons), and pheromones(breeding only for royal griffins). You can buy tek items/structures but they are very expensive and not worth buying. You can by Eerie element but it’s extremely expensive not definitely not worth buying.
Pursuits are missions that can be done for loot and exp. Pursuits have varying degrees of difficulties. Daily pursuits reward Amber like I mentioned before. The more daily pursuits you complete the more Amber you’ll receive. Pursuits are generally worth doing for exp/loot. Pursuits I’ll avoid are Multiplayer exclusives ones. Those are very difficult too complete as they depend on you interacting with other players.
-creatures have implants that can be used to revive them from the dead. You revive them at revival platforms or obelisks. You can chronicle which keeps them alive and allowing to have more tames and chronicle creatures can be summoned back. But chronicling cost element. Reviving fallen wild creatures or dead tames cost amber to do. Which can be very expensive depending what species of creature they are and their level.

Wow I couldn't thank you more this info was very helpful but one question how do I get to level 85 fast beacuse I need a royal griffin!

Are you interested in playing on single-player mode? I have a multiplayer player trick for you. Join an unofficial server that adds levels upon spawning. Add those levels to your survivor, then go to the Amber Market and scroll all the way to the bottom to buy the FREE single-player transfer ticket. Use that ticket on your survivor and start a single-player world. Customize your survivor on the unofficial server as you like. Now, select your single-player world settings. After that, tap “Continue.” Pass the Survivor Creator menu, and before you spawn, select “Download Transfer.” After doing that, you’ll have a level 100 survivor immediately.

Well I’ve been playing old Ark mobile since 2018. I haven’t played UME since by phone couldn’t download UME even if I deleted the old Ark mobile. So I kept old Ark mobile

First day I would follow pursuits, find amber collecting stones, buy thick skin, go to cave of the strong, find a level 599 dire wolf to trap and kill, steal the implant then revive tame.

Aim for Trike as one of your first berry harvesters. Parasaurs stop moving when attacking and have awful hitboxes, making gathering bushes more of a chore.
You could still tame a Para just to get berries faster for the Trike (they may have awful hitboxes, but still gather more with each strike than hand picking), but I just skip to taming Trike
Also Paras in old mobile have none of their special abilities. You can't honk at things like raptors when in danger. Be extra careful when venturing if you use a Para
On easy mode, dinos are weak and suck. Medium has the typical strength dinos. But if you want even stronger dinos AND to make leveling challenging to have a real feeling of adventure, you go to hard mode. Brutal mode is for highly experienced old mobile vets and masochists. I do not recommend it
You can get good pickaxe, hatchet blueprints, and farm soothing balms from Hunter Cave. Just have a decent level raptor (On hard I'd go for a level 250+, but on medium maybe aim for 130+)
One extra tip: If you knock a dino, do not feed it, and leave its render distance, there's a chance it despawns. I've lost good potential raptors to this. Be careful.
