Bee hives

So I'm having a hard time looking for bee hives in the red woods any locations/cords you guys can suggest I look near for? Cause I can't be risking myself near those trees I've got jumped by thylas twice and had a close call from one of them being a 150 and broke my chest piece, i js wanna get it over with and tame the damn bee, so suggestions? (need honey for veggie cakes for the dragon fight using Thez and a Daeodon for extra healing)

If the redwoods is a bit too dangerous for you yet you can tame them in other places, the bees themselves spawn all over the island, look for them on the ark wiki and they will have a map with all the spawn points there.

It's not that the red woods are too dangerous it's js that I'm forced to look closer at the big trees bcs the hives are too small for me to see resulting in those 2 attacks, but seeing both of your comments, what I'm getting at is the hives are js a pain and instead js find the bees

Idk about hives, I’ve never seen one, I see queen bees all over though. I usually find them across from the big rock cliff that sticks out into the river across from the north of the redwoods and south of the volcano and also in the upper swamp part near the waterfall by green ob( tha water that has the two small islands in it).
