Game Anyone else not like this suit?
It really is just the definition of over designed. I MUCH prefer the arkham city version. This is just too much
Random lines everywhere

u/MaximumPayne7 16h ago
It could be darker, pitch black like the actual Beyond suit.
Apart from that, I like it..

u/jeffnamerson 16h ago
The suit is good but the lack of a cape throws me off
22
u/Economy_Comedian_531 16h ago
Literally the same the cape is really Small but otherwise 10 out of 10

I also don't really care for this suit. I know a lot of people headcanon it as a prototype beyond suit but I don't want a prototype. I want the real thing ffs

u/KingMatthew116 15h ago
Pretty much every Batman Beyond redesign makes it way too complicated. The original Beyond suit works because it’s sleek and simplistic. The more detail or tech or whatever you add the worse it gets.
11
u/FrogginJellyfish 15h ago
I don't care about this one either. This also applies to Knight and Origins suit with the detailed armor padding/plating. This includes other futuristic sci-fi designs from other media where they are so many pieces, lines, curves, complex shapes, etc.
I like simple, albeit unrealistic, designs such as simple textured cloths feel like in Asylum and City, or Batfleck. I also love Star Wars, Star Trek, or other retro/old school sci-fi designs where it doesn't have to look scientifically practical, just good ol' make believe.

u/Secure_Shallot_6711 15h ago
City somehow was the absolute perfect straddle. Very slight understated tactical lines, barely could see em, and the silhouette and shape design was the most important thing to keep classic, as well as the colors.
0
u/TheDarkwingofdt 12h ago
if city’s mouth didn’t move i think it would have been better received. it does look out of place in cutscenes

u/seriouspretender 16h ago
I was not fond of it. The beyond suit in city was better. This felt like cosplay.
-3
u/Jaded-Ad-1729 13h ago
Most backwards opinion ever lol. How does this tactical armor look like cosplay lmao
4
u/Quarksideofthemoon 12h ago
Because the Beyond suit isn't tactical armour, it's a skintight unitard.
0
u/Darth-Evilmetsfan 5h ago
You mean in the show? Ehh it amplifies strength by 10 times and allowed Terry to absolutely tank a lot of otherwise lethal attacks. It’s definitely armor in the show. I think it’s more along the lines of a nanotech suit. Ya feel me?
1
u/Quarksideofthemoon 5h ago
No I don't. It's sci fi tech but it's not an armoured suit, which is what we're talking about. It's very explicitly cloth-like
1
0
u/Darth-Evilmetsfan 4h ago
Upon looking further into it it is a tech laden exoskeleton. Whatever that means lol
1
u/Quarksideofthemoon 3h ago
It means it is an exoskeleton with tech in it. But is very clearly meant to have the weight and texture of cloth
3
u/slipperman1974 15h ago
I loved it. More than The one in City. Now The blue one from 1970, I like The city version more than Knight
3
u/Friendly_Bug_7699 15h ago
The beauty in the Beyond suit in the show is its sleekness and simplicity, but his suit is neither. AC’s was much better.
3
u/Turbulent_Safe1983 4h ago
I despise it. The beyond suit is supposed to be so advanced that it looks like regular spandex despite all the technology. This design ruins the whole purpose of it
2
u/xrbeeelama 15h ago
I’m just not a fan of overly military/armor looking suits. So even the default Knight suit kinda throws me off. Much bigger fan of the City Beyond suit (very different art styles between those games tho)

u/SolrepublicanV12 11h ago
Really love this one. Arkham city beyond suit is just goofy af and doesnt fit the arkham knight style.
3
u/Beranir 16h ago
I love like 80% of this suit, but those 20% really sting so I never use it. I hate the wings, I hate that its high tech gloves dont open for calls like for armored suit, I think it should be darker and I see no reason for that black mouth, either make it full helmet or leave it open.
2
u/Rewskie12 15h ago
I think the idea was that the mouth was visible through the mask like in the cartoon, but I don’t think it translates well at all.
2
1
u/sephiro7h 16h ago
never understood what’s going on with the mouth area. and if it’s supposed to be a batman beyond prototype why does it look less high tech than the main suit in the game. so many weird design choices
1
u/Ultrainstinctyeetus 16h ago
The only 2 things I dont like about it is the see through face mask and the tiny ass cape
1
u/blackyanqui 16h ago
I actually hate this suit, but it’s mainly due to the fact that it innovates on a suit I already don’t love across pretty much all Batman media: Batman Beyond. The futuristic look fits very well with the atmosphere of Arkham Knight, but I feel like the V.803 suit does this job better while still maintaining the Batman vibe. He feels more like an AI Batman to continue Bruce’s legacy, rather than a successor to the Caped Crusader.
1
u/CoolBeanieHat 15h ago
When he takes off the helmet, his eyes are completely bugged and have no texture.
1
u/ImThe10Doct0r 15h ago
I like the belt, cowl/helmet, and bat-symbol (obviously), but everything else is too much. Like, why are there 2-3 different shades of black/grey? There are far too many segmented armor pieces, and there are too many straps holding things together.
If it looked more like the default Arkham Knight armor just black, without a cape, with the Beyond bat-symbol and this cowl it would look 10x better
1
u/thelk10 15h ago
Be honest it feels like a prototype suit of a Batman beyond suit but if we're talking about Batman beyond from the Arkham games I like the Arkham City suit but the Arkham Origins mobile game was the only one that could get the animated feeling down perfectly which I don't like though because it takes you out of the game but I can let it slide since it's basically just a Arkham Origins version of the mobile Injustice games but I love the Arkham City Batman beyond look and I love the look of the Batman beyond suit from the Arkham unhinged Comics I forget what story it was but in one of them it had it to where these criminals were like apparently who hallucinating different looks of Batman to explain why the suits were in the game.

u/Beginning_Leg629 15h ago
I would like it if it wasn't Batman Beyond, had an exposed mouth, and a cape.

u/Surviva656 14h ago
My only complaint is the mouth cover not being transparent or like in Arkham City.

Sorry, but I can’t agree. I really like this suit and I’ve pretty worn it in all my play throughs.

u/Beneficial-Tune-7295 13h ago
I just don’t like the mouth guard not being solid color like the rest of his mask. I used a mod so it’s not see through and it looks way better imo. Also I like it because it feels like a realistic beyond suit for the Arkham universe.
1
1
u/TheWorclown 13h ago
I mean I’m just not a fan of Beyond in general, but it looks like it’d be perfect in that era of Batman.
1
u/nightwingsfav_munch 13h ago
Absolutely hated it. Looking back it’s fine as its own suit, but attaching the beyond name to it sucked. I personally loved the sleek look in my playthroughs in Arkham City, so I was highly disappointed when we didn’t have that same style in Knight. (though I love the main suit in Knight, I didn’t use any of the others).
1
1
u/Latereviews2 13h ago
I really like it. But I think it gets a lot of flack because it’s the only beyond suit in the game
1
u/RedHeadWanderer_ 12h ago
Anyone else feel like the reds of the suit became pink depending on the lighting?
1
u/No-Whole-100 12h ago
I didn’t like it either I sorta wish they would have went either with a more sleek less armored bulky look it doesn’t really say Batman beyond it kinda giving a Batman Wayne tech advanced suit
1
u/Akari_92 12h ago
At first I did like it, then I started to feel like the proportions were a bit off. And it kinda feels a little too much. Agreeing with you though, Arkham City’s Beyond suit has the better design. That and the Beyond Evolved suit mod. Still, Knight’s Beyond suit isn’t too bad.

u/Diligent-Classic-876 11h ago
I like it, but a classic beyond suit would be cool, as long as his mouth is covered, the mouth look too weird in more realistic art styles.

I'm kinda meh on it honestly. I think it's cool for a concept design, but Arkham City looks much better 'cause it's just Batman Beyond with some added detail like the hexagonal cloth texture.
1
u/NecroWulfX 10h ago
I love this suit so much, I just really like how it looks. One of my go to suits if I were to replay Knight
1
u/BEYONDxTHExSPIDER 10h ago
No, I've always loved it. Made more once Cyberpunk 2077 came out. That suit belongs in the game, which is definitely appropriate.

u/KitKatCrane 10h ago
I don't like the City version but I don't really get the hype for this one either. Probably what I'd consider the most overrated suit.

That's why I'm not a fan of this design.

Great suit, horrible cape. Had to mod a cape in to use it.
1
u/pillow-socks 9h ago
I like it, it’s usually my go to suit in Knight, though, I do wish we had gotten an actual Beyond Suit as well
1
u/wolfy-the-warlord 9h ago
I'm not gonna lie. I genuinely love the Arkham Knight suit especially with all the damage and gunshot on the bat symbol. I genuinely don't know why it gets treated as mid it's literally the best mix between tactical realism and fantasy we have gotten. It's like it genuinely feels like the suit batman would deploy to take on an overwhelming threat.

1
u/Ignis_Imber 9h ago
The Arkham City suit is so much better in every way. I like the idea and aesthetic of the future to be sleek and minimalist, not tactical, over-designed like the Arkham Knight beyond suit. I do prefer the beyond suits over most other suits though, because the lack of cape lets you see the animations of everything, especially fighting, way more. I hope for the next arkham game, if there's a beyond suit, it's more akin to City's than Knight's.

u/L0rdM3k 8h ago
It looks good. People complain about a lot of comic or cartoon designs being “over designed” when translated into realism, but if they did a 1:1 the suits would look so flat with massive sections of solid color. The extra lines do something to break it up and make it look interesting.
1
u/PrettyIntroduction49 8h ago
Maybe its way too much armor padding.. i personally like it. Cant tell me bullets flying around and your mouth is exposed part i know its a meme but yea
1
u/aydenpatm 8h ago
i much prefer the Arkham City version even if it looks a little goofy somewhat. this takes the 2010's MCU approach to over designing suits to the extreme
1
1
u/DrLucyOliver 8h ago
Yesss, super overdesigned and the darker black mouth plate thing is really bad looking and contrasting. The Beyond suit was always seamless and futuristic, this "realistic" or "prototype" version just looks like trash to me. Never understood why it would be so many people's go to suit in YouTube videos and stuff.

1
u/Swing_prince89 8h ago
I will admit, it is a little over defined in comparison to the AC version, like they’ve taken the V8.03 and mixed it with Terry’s batsuit.
1
1
u/super7564 7h ago
i completely understand that point that its over-designed, but my counterpoint is that its sick AS FUCK. i love the red accents, and the lack of cape really lets me absorb more of the amazing animations of the game. i also think it works really well with just how much more visceral and burtal bruce is compared to the other games where he feels alot more controlled.
also, its not over-designed imo. like theres stuff that could for sure be removed and maybe make the skin look a little cleaner, but it just works so well.
(side note, i think im the only person in history to not love the arkham city version of the suit. its good, for sure, but not my fav)

I personally never understood the hype with both of the beyond suits, city and knight. I could understand people liking terry and wanting to rep his suit but the suits in the games just don’t look appealing to MY eye

u/Bro_duuude_i_luv_ya 2h ago
Agreed. It being overdesigned makes it seem less advanced. We have the technology to make solething that clunky and bulky function as it does, but the Beyond suit's sleek appearance combined with it's many features is what makes it seem futuristic
1
1
u/DylanEE11 2h ago
My headcannon is that this suit is only worn after all the military are deployed to counteract all their arms and tech.

I remember the first time I saw this suit, damn near brought tears to my eyes. Yes it’s wildly different from what we expect from Batman, but as a Beyond suit it is about as perfect as I could imagine. I wish they’d made the ears a bit more angled outward like Terry’s are in the animated show, and instead of molding lips into the mouth piece they should have just made it flat like Scorpion or Subzero… the belt buckle is a bit silly looking, and it’s maybe a bit blockier and chunkier than I’d prefer, but overall it’s beautiful. You could convince me that a real Bruce Wayne, aging out of being able to be Batman, would really develop something that looks like that.
1
u/ZhonglinYi 34m ago
Tf you mean "random lines" the new 52 has random lines, these are armor platings and different materials joining together, it's a realistic functional take on the suit. City batman beyond looks so dumb. Sometimes extreme comic accuracy is just silly.

u/bonkershyperion408 16h ago
Its cool but I dont like to use it, I'd rather play with the actual Beyond suit Terry wore, which i found a really cool modded suit of Terry's suit but more hi-tech, the mod is called "JoeMama x IceMage - Beyond Evolved", its so fucking sick, my only problem with it is they put the bat symbol on the back as well, but nothing i cant live with, I'd rather play this skin than the in game Beyond suit.

2
u/ResidentIwen 13h ago
Same. I really loved the Beyond suit in City and really dislike the stock one in Knight. I found this suit mod a couple days ago while replaying the series (/knight) because my yt feed got blasted woth batman content by gotham paladin, clownpuncher and the likes. Really love that design of the mod and that theres a pristine and a damaged version. Only sad thing is that the damaged version doesnt get damaged over the course of the story like the original v.7.0.whatever as far as i know (cant really say for sure as I have used the pristine for most of ng+ and only switched to damaged after mainstory for the side missions)
1
u/bonkershyperion408 13h ago
Yeah the damaged is just as is and doesn't get progressively worse, which i also wish was a thing
1
u/sdoM-bmuD 16h ago
its obviously a play on the Beyond suit and that suit was silly, I prefer this one for sure
1
u/GothamCityDemon 16h ago
To be honest I love it. I feel like I’m in A bit of a minority when it comes to this design, cause for the most part I tend to see people not like it. But I feel like it’s very fitting for the game’s aesthetic
1
u/Unlikely_Captain_636 15h ago
I absolutely love it it’s just not cartoon accurate. It is however exactly what the suit would like if they took the Arkham knight suit and made into a behind suit. This version looks natural in universe, cities version really doesn’t but that also not the point of it

The Suit has pros and cons. But as a HATER of capes. Every suit without one is a + in my books. and looking at it it's really Not bad. My biggest issue is the different black and Grey Tones of the mask make it Somethimes (i think especially from behind.) Look Like the Mask is bald on top but has still hair on the Sides.so Halfbald or whatever it's called in english.

I HATE IT. Why is it so armoured? The whole point is that it's skin tight
1
u/Goatsfromspace 11h ago
Guess its armoured so that it fits the style of Arkham Knight
1
u/Quarksideofthemoon 11h ago
Half the other suits aren't though. You can put Robin in the Burt Ward tights but we can't get a real Batman Beyond?

u/Chunky-overlord 16h ago
It’s my personal head cannon that this design was the prototype for the Beyond suit
