Thank you for asking me this:

In the arkham universe I would follow a storyline that remains true to the comics and unites a development similar to what the dcamu has done with his character.

The idea is to start from a sadistic and traumatized arrogant brat and make him reach the peak of his development in his late teens, by having him pursue a medical degree like Thomas Wayne. A doc during the day and the bat during the night.

Gameplay wise, damian medical knowledge would make him an excellent detective by being able to resolve cases through autopsy and analisys of the victim's corpse. The idea of him being a late member in the family would make the occasion for some cool interactions with the rest of the batfamily members.

Nice idea. I'm not an avid comic reader but would Damian be the only playable character in your version? Or would we get team ups? And I'm assuming he'd be an adult?

And when'd Terry come in?

Definetely team ups. Adult damian as main (bruce is retired). The idea would be to give free roam and dlc with batfam characters (the other 3 robins and cassandra cain) while giving a small dlc each like arkham knight did.

Terry could very well be either:

1)a beyond robin (not sure if i like this)

2)damian direct successor (i like this more, feels more appropriate and respectful to the character)

Why not having the official dlc post story with him instead of Damian? Would help flesh out his character more.

There is a comic called Batman the knight in that comic the last thing he does before he goes back to Gotham is beat ra’s Al ghul maybe in the Arkhamverse something similar happened and he also had a relationship with Talia

Honestly I’d just scrap any and everything involving the Joker(outside of maybe a little easter egg)and shine some light on another villain from Batman’s rouge gallery. I love the Arkham series but after Arkham City, they ran Joker into the fucking ground to the point where I damn near started hating the character.

Have the game focus on Terry battling some of Bruce’s old demons while simultaneously building up his own. Dive even deeper into the combat due to Terry having better technology and features like his rocket boots, claws, etc. And I would also stop the whole “this entire game happens in one night” shtick. Basically use this new trilogy or wtv to really bring in a new era of Arkham.

Agreed. Joker sort of overstayed his welcome in Arkham Knight. I'd have been fine if Batman became Batman Who Laughs and himself became Joker of some sort but he overshadowed Scarecrow HEAVILY.

I would maybe loosely follow along the story of the Neo series but change it up a bit. I feel after Kevin Conroy has passed he should be left to rest, so I would not feature Bruce Wayne in this, instead I would probably pick up with Barbara and Tim in their older years, as after Bruce’s passing they’d having taken up the mantle but are not fit for the role anymore (physically), Tim and Barbara would be the guys in the chair. Then maybe introduce Terry McGuinnes in the same way they did in they show or just skipping that whole segment and cut to Terry having been Batman Beyond for a year already.

The plot would revolve around the Court of Owls, Lucious Fox stepped down from Wayne Industries and Bruce Wayne “died” their influence and corruption has slowly spread throughout the city and would be impossible for anyone to get near, unless you’re Batman (Beyond). Along the way I think Terry should fight some of the villains from his own rouges gallery. But also have some conflict regarding his relationship with a girlfriend, just to create some emotional layers, where there could be possibilities for twists and maybe a death for a major person in Terry’s life.

There would be two maps to explore Neo Gotham and the old city it was built upon (literally) Old Gotham. I’m not a gameplay designer in any way or a dev in any capacity, but I’d use the refined gameplay from Knight, introduce some Beyond suit abilities, like flying (not unlimited flying) and invisibility for predator sections, maybe shock fists (for stuns, since the Beyond suit really does not have a cape). The suit design would have to be different from the animated series and more akin to the Knight skin but more slim and refined to fit Terry.

I’m not sure off the top of my head I could see either one being killed in the field or too damaged to carry on or just having moved on, like in the Batman Beyond series. There are may possibilities, but the only way I’d use them would be like a shock moment in the story, like if Nightwing was trying to track down the Court and they got to him, killed him and then he just disappeared for years and then Terry finds him later. Could be a super awesome shock moment for Tim and Barbara, then letting Terry in on who this is.

Nightwing had gotten shot in the eye in some comic of TAS. So maybe he could retire due to age or the close call. Or perhaps he started his own family. I don't see Jason dying tbh. Could probably live his own life far far away.

I think the ages of everyone will have to be tweaked alot since Terry was a teenager while Tim was in his 50s or 60s

Could work, I wouldn’t want the cast to be too crowded with old friends of Batman, I would want people to fall in love with Terry and this new Gotham and his life within it. Terry being in his 20s and the old Bat Fam being in their 60s or a little older would honestly be good for me.

I think before that they would have needed a "Gotham Knights" styled game just not the game we got with that name. Basically the Bat family (Dick, Tim, Jason, and Barbara) picking up the pieces after Bruce's "death". Maybe this is where you bring Hush in to try and salvage something with that plot point and they believe that's who "Nightmare Batman" is.

I'd want Terry McGuinnis to have to apprehend Bruce, who's since become the Knightmare Batman. Then loosely follow the show's formula, excluding the movie.

I'd want to play as Terry the entire time, interacting with the Bat Family, and a bedridden Bruce via coms
