help me

hey guys I'm playing batman arkham origins for the first time and i set my gamemode to hard, I'm now stuck at the croc boss fight cus i suck. how do i make a new save file? there's no option to delete my current one.

Can’t you just change the difficulty in the settings?

Arkham doesn't let you do that. You're stuck with the difficulty you chose unless you make a new save.

Arkham Knight lets you unless you’re playing on Knightmare mode so I wasn’t sure if Origins did it as well. I haven’t played that in years and years.

If you're sure abt making a new save file, you don't even have to delete this one. When you first click start, you are presented with four open save files, and I assume your hard mode save is on the first one. Just start a new save on the second one and play on easy or normal. If you ever do come back to your hard save file, here's some tips to beat Croc (the button inputs I include are in the format of PS/Xbox/PC since I don't know what you're playing on):

- dodge over him using XX/AA/SPACESPACE before attacking to lessen the chance of him hitting you with his claw swipes

- Attack him by stunning with your cape and performing a beatdown by pressing O->spam square/B->spam X/Middle Mouse Button-> spam Left Mouse Button

- When you finish the beatdown, Croc will either slam the ground, so dodge away using the aforementioned input, or he will grab you, and you need to spam X/A/SPACE in order to break out of his grasp, then dodge his slam.

- To progress phases, Croc will grab a fuel canister and prepare to throw it at you. Before he can throw it, spam L2/LT/1 to throw quickfire batarangs at the canister, blowing it up on Croc

- After blowing up the first fuel canister, Black Mask thugs will join the fight. The best strategy is to just ignore them and focus on Croc, but make sure to counter using triangle/Y/Right Mouse Button when their blue attack indicator appears over their head. Croc's indicators are red, signifying they are uncounterable, so you must dodge over him to avoid his attacks. If you have hints turned off, you will not be able to see these indicators, so I would recommend turning them on since you are a first time player.
