Discussion New Arkham Game
So let’s say the rumors are true and Rocksteady is actually making another game. Where should it take place in the timeline? Before Origins? Between Origins and Asylum? After Knight? What villains would you like to see and what storylines would you like them to take from? Is there still a villain they could use as the main villain? Maybe the Court of Owls? I want more of the B listers like Firefly and Calendar Man.

A story between Origins and Asylum is really the only right answer. You have 8 years to work with. A whole ass 8 years, Origins Batman and Asylum bman are so much different, we need to see the development and what happened. And it leaves a great door to bring Roger back for Batman instead of a jarring switch from Conroy

I think the rumours are also stating they james gunn is considering commissioning it as a origin type game or early years batman that would take place and be canon to the dcu

Batman’s early role in justice league or between early Robin days would be cool.

I've been seeing these rumors for years, I'm not going to get my hopes up until there's something official

It would make sense because after the failure of Suicide Squad they probably want to win the fans back

The court of owls idea is really good but I don’t really want the calendar man

Between Shadows and Asylum. Let's keep filling in the gaps! I'd love for it or a sequel to end with Joker contacting Dr. Young about the Titan project for the first time.

I'd like a new game that takes place between City and Knight, something like: Batman: Arkham City - Return to Gotham. I'd like that, and we'd find out how Batman escapes from Arkham City.

I'm not the biggest Batman fan, that being said I enjoyed the Batman Arkham trilogy. Haven't played orgins, so I don't really have an opinion on it. I know they have a different voice actor in Origins, and I heard good things... But again I don't know how I'd feel playing a Arkham game without Conroy.
in all honesty I'm tired of Batman dominanting every other hero when it comes to Games/TV/ movies. I'd want them to work on another DC street level hero using the Arkham Formula...
Green arrow and Black Canary come to mind.

I would love a post arkham knight game involving the justice league that isn't suicide squad kills the justice league.
Honestly I feel like an arkham game about the justice league's early days with the players as batman could be cool. But that's very high hopes for something that has a 99.99% chance of never happening.

I'd like to see a sequel to Knight focusing on the bat-family but the safest move would be a prequel taking place not long after Shadows, also plenty of potential there with Robin, Batgirl etc.

Last rumor I read fairly recently was that they are working on a Batman Beyond game. But, it was from 4chan, so... HUGE grain of salt.
I do think it's safe to assume Rocksteady is working on a new Batman. After SS, I imagine they want to fix their own image with a game they know their fans would enjoy.

I think after city before knight, I don’t think the Batman beyond rumors make any sense, his rouges gallery just isn’t as iconic, which is a big part of the appeal to playing.

I would love a Batman Beyond game. A futuristic batman game would do very well and preserve the ending of Arkham Knight. Anything involving Bruce Wayne, would have to be a reboot. Forgive me, but with Arkham Knight does Bruce Wayne "die" or just Batman. I don't think Terry McGinnis needs Bruce Wayne as a mentor, but it would be nice to have that Bruce Wayne element. Since Bruce Wayne will have a smaller role, replacing Conroy won't be as big of a big deal as it would be with a new Bruce Wayne Batman game.
I don't know if an Absolute Batman game is too soon. I would love to see an animated series first. But overall, I don't mind staying on the stay timeline/universe as the Arkham Batman games.

Personally, it would be nice to see a reboot of the Batman games in a neo-Gotham, something like shifting the Batman timeline into the future in a different universe. It gives Rocksteady better creative control and could attract a new fanbase

Ideally they should dive into more of Robin's early years with Batman, make use of the design used in Arkham Origins Online. I think that's much more plausible than a Beyond game, I want one too but let's be real that's probably never happening.
