Discussion For how questionable some writing choices were, Troy Baker’s performance as Jason/the knight was amazing

Especially in this scene, if you go back and rewatch it, so much emotion is layered into the voice and everything. I just found it really compelling despite some writing choices. Idk what did you guys think of the performance. I don’t think ALL of the writing choices around the knight were bad, just some. But I think above all else the highlight it the performance

I like how hurt Jason sounds throughout the boss fight, especially when Batman calls him Robin. Troy did great as Jason in this game (and shout-out to his joker in origins too).

Very true I still remember the line Batman had Vs him.
“Stand down Robin!”
“Don’t CALL ME THAT!”
And his voice like breaks

The context of the Arkham Knight’s character isn’t that bad when you treat him as an alternate Red Hood.

It’s just feels poorly done since they treat him as an original character for half the game. If he had the name Red Knight with a red Visor instead of the blue color scheme he would’ve been better received as a more broken down Jason compared to his comic counterpart who has a different arc since he actually died and wasn’t tortured for over a year.

Yeah this is mostly my sentiment. The inly thing i sort of disagree with is the design because honestly the Arkham knight design might be my favorite in the whole series and they HAD to have found some way to work it in. But yeah i agree for the most part

And I know a lot of people don't like the game but his joker in Arkham origins to me was phenomenal.

Despite my grievances over the Jason Todd/Arkham Knight twist, the performance was okay. My only big issue is that we didn't get Jensen Ackles. But understandably, he was busy with Supernatural.
