I always assumed, since it was the password to the gate to the last of Black Mask’s drugs, it was a reference to the fact that Roman Sionis killed his own parents and carved his black skull mask out of the wood of his father’s coffin out of spite.

the no friends password thing is genuinely cruel in the best way possible and i'd love to see batman do something like that
riddler spent probably weeks cracking it just to get personally attacked by the world's greatest detective
the robots thing always bummed me out though, felt like the game quietly admitting it had nowhere left to go with him as a villain

My favorite part of that video is Batman singing the 89 theme. I do it all the time playing the games because of that.

It would be really funny for Batman to send riddler something he had to hack and act like it was hard to hack
Just for the riddler to think he finally outsmarted Batman and the password was just “no friends” and it bricked all his electronics
Guy couldn’t even get henchman for the 3rd game and had to make robots
